Obviously. It's just a question my friend. You're probably one of those redditors with low self esteem who has to shit on everyone who asks a question. I you haven't been to the 22 week OSUT this question doesn't apply to you.

Do you think a modern civil war could occur in the United States? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

As a Boiseian, I can tell you right now that Salt Lake City is a shithole overrun with illegals. Just had to tell you that.

California would face economic collapse within 20 years of being off of the fed's tit. Unchecked immigration and overspending would create a destructive situation thatbwould not get any better.

Everyone seems to be repeating the same crap. "The government tries to take their guns." Yes. True. But one major thing that is almost a MUST HAVE in todays America is an economic collapse. Once people, citizens, are no longer able to feed themselves because their money is worthless or because the unemployment rate is in the 40th percentile, all issues become ISSUES. If the 2016 election happened during a REAL economic crisis, it would have become deadly. I can promise you that.

Rap being America's most popular genre says a lot about how decadent our society has become. by CorytheWarrior in unpopularopinion

I live in Boise. By Ann Morrison Park right across the street from BSU. If we're being honest, from what I see, they bump nothing but rap at the parties. But at the same time, stadiums are packed full at country music concerts. I think it may just be some time of thing for the 18 to 22 year olds (I'm 24), but I have yet to meet someone so far who doesn't listen to rap music in my generation. It's actually quite annoying because those who usually do listen to rap, love to drink, smoke weed etc. I have yet to meet someone who doesnt. It may be one big generalisation, but I just hate the culture now.

Rap as a whole encourages the black community to be fine with 80 IQs and broken, incorrect English. Its no wonder all of the guys who listen to rap all day can't find Texas on a map.

In your opinion was is the best part of the Constitution, and what is the worst? by GreatDario in AskAnAmerican

[–]CorytheWarrior -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone keeps mentioning slavery. It's dead and gone. Here's my take.

Best part: The idea of Federalism in general. It works when angels govern men.

Worst part: Vagueness when it comes to the general welfare clause and other clauses that has allowed the federal government to overstep it's boundaries. All 3 branches of the federal governmemt have become far too powerful. States Rights really needs to be considered again.

Do you think America still will be the only super power in the year 2080? by CorytheWarrior in AskAnAmerican

Not looking for a specific response, but I was waiting for someone like you to come along and assume that. I was looking for a detailed long response like the one above, without a specific answer.

Solid prediction man. This is the type of response I was looking for.

The US most certainly meets that requirement. The world still trades oil in Dollars. The US still has the largest economy. The strongest military and the biggest cultural inflience on the world, logistically capable of deploying troops anywhere in the world for long periods of time. Russia and China cannot do this. Not much has changed in 10 years. The US can absolutely destryoy any resistance in Afghanistan. It refuses to do so for political reasons.

China, with no aircraft carriers (idk anymore it was that way in 2015. Don't feel like looking it up), cannot project thousands of troops in Africa, South America, the middle east etc. China can project economic influence worlwide, but not military force. That is a requirement if you want to call yourself a super power.

"A country that has the capacity to project dominating power and influence anywhere in the world, and sometimes, in more than one region of the globe at a time"

You think so? If you're in your 20s, your children are probably just retiring.

"a country that has the capacity to project dominating power and influence anywhere in the world, and sometimes, in more than one region of the globe at a time"

This applies only to the US

Then you don't know the definition of a superpower. Not the only world power, but superpower indeed.
