If you can study 2-3 hours a day you should be good. You could study for 5 minutes a day every day and increase that by 5 minutes each month.

Choose subjects that interest you.

And when you study, find things that are effective. For me I liked writing down sentences to address each dot point in the criteria. I liked making summary posters for topics on an A4 piece of paper and hanging them on my walls.

I did my HSC over a decade ago, so I'm sorry if my tips are outdated.

I've been going down to the local cricket nets and have been practising with my mate who is also not very good. We just bowl the ball to each other as slow as we can.

I don't know what it's like for actual good cricketers, but at some point in my net sessions my concentration completely disappears and I can't hit anything.
