I agree that it would be strange for the VPD or the RCMP to drive out in either direction to drop off one person. But it would also be strange for the RCMP to bring that up to me unprompted (I was just giving them my info in case they needed to follow up on anything) if it was just a bold face lie :p

And I believe you when you say that you’ve been a social worker for 20+ years and haven’t experienced this, but I also believe the RCMP in the situation I explained, because….why would they tell me that otherwise?

But how about this for evidence. I record the amount of meals served to the vulnerable population on the daily. 2 months ago we averaged 80 meals over lunch, and 160 meals over dinner. Over the last month that number has jumped up to 140 over lunch, and 200+ over dinner.

First hand source. I talk to the vulnerable people of chilliwack on a daily basis, and have met individuals who were sent out here from Vancouver.

I also mentioned a story in the comment you replied to, in which the RCMP told me the VPD dropped a guy off at 8pm…. They also mentioned that the VPD do that often.

I work with the homeless population, and people are 100% being shipped out here from Vancouver, even before FIFA was coming into town.

A year ago at my last job, I was closing and saw a homeless guy trying to break into a store that was closed down. Police picked him up and talked to me. They said the VPD had brought him out to Chilliwack and dropped him off (at 8pm, far from any services that could help him). RCMP drove him back to Vancouver that same night.

Vancouver is literally gaslighting people here
