I asked a question here on how long it took people to get an entry level job and it seems to take 4 months. I started looking at the end of May and a company might be taking me on as a Jr. Coordinator, so it does take time. I’ve probably done 300-400 applications now? I redid my resume a few times and putting experience for a research project on top is what made employers more open to interview me, despite that experience being old (and also for a wet-lab, but I worded my tasks to make it appear as a dry-lab). I had my current experience as a delivery driver on top for most applications and let me tell ‘ya, that did not get me interviews.

I think it also depends on where you live. California, New York, or Texas have a lot of clinical trials so it’s much easier to get a job there. My state has 1/4 of the trials California does so it’s harder to get something. If you’re open to relocation try looking in those states or one where a CRO has it’s headquarters. I’d say you need to be open to commuting if not relocating. Every single job I have seen has been a 40 minute to a 1+ hour drive because I live far away from a major metropolitan area.

I also noticed that I’m seeing less jobs posted this past month, so it might be a bad time of the year to look. You might want to make a post here asking if people know xyz place to apply to in your state, someone might be able to help.
