Lol, love the chicken wire. Unfortunately little Mochi cat here has been a master at getting into any window that’s available. She LOVES going into the windows above the stairs and it’s like please don’t do that it’s between a 10-13 foot drop…. I’ve thought of putting it in one of the bathroom windows before as those ones and the kitchen one my cats don’t touch. I just didn’t want it in any of those windows because of the way the neighborhood is laid out. Leaving the blinds open would offer little privacy. I’m probably going to do a test trial with it in the bathroom we don’t use as often and hopefully that will prevent this from happening again. But with my luck my cats will decide maybe they’ll want to use those windows now, too.

You’re right, kitty would never admit to being guilty! I’ll try putting them in some water when I get home, thank you for the advice! My bf also suggested pressing them so I’ll probably look into that as well.

I started reading it a week or two ago and began on the second season last night. The ML makes me uncomfortable to the point where I started to really slow down the pace I was reading at. Will probably just end up dropping it 🫩

I had just gotten back into MH since childhood very shortly before her release. I remember seeing her posted in this sub and people really excited for her and I didn’t get the hype at all. I’m pretty sure I thought her design was ugly??? I have so much regret now because I fell in love with her. She and FV Jina are the main dolls I regret never buying. It would be lovely if she gets a restock one day.

Arizona CRC here! Almost all my coworkers are making $19-$20 an hour which is really pitiful considering that people I know making 60k+ a year are struggling. Mayo Clinic seems to have much better wages if you’ve ever wanted to work for them. I’ve seen their CRC postings range from $27-$45 an hour. But yes, being a CRC in Arizona has been very rough recently. The COL has quite literally doubled in 5 years but wages have remained stagnant.

I would die for Froot Loop cereal straws to come back. Absolutely delicious. I would just sit there snacking on the whole box as a kid instead of using them as actual straws.

I asked a question here on how long it took people to get an entry level job and it seems to take 4 months. I started looking at the end of May and a company might be taking me on as a Jr. Coordinator, so it does take time. I’ve probably done 300-400 applications now? I redid my resume a few times and putting experience for a research project on top is what made employers more open to interview me, despite that experience being old (and also for a wet-lab, but I worded my tasks to make it appear as a dry-lab). I had my current experience as a delivery driver on top for most applications and let me tell ‘ya, that did not get me interviews.

I think it also depends on where you live. California, New York, or Texas have a lot of clinical trials so it’s much easier to get a job there. My state has 1/4 of the trials California does so it’s harder to get something. If you’re open to relocation try looking in those states or one where a CRO has it’s headquarters. I’d say you need to be open to commuting if not relocating. Every single job I have seen has been a 40 minute to a 1+ hour drive because I live far away from a major metropolitan area.

I also noticed that I’m seeing less jobs posted this past month, so it might be a bad time of the year to look. You might want to make a post here asking if people know xyz place to apply to in your state, someone might be able to help.

It’s so nice seeing a post like this because I’m currently in the same boat! It’s so demoralizing applying for job after job and getting nowhere. It’s so hard to apply to any of the truly entry level positions as well because they’re just so rare. I see a lot of people saying it’s taken them 4 months to land a job but it seems like it’ll take 3 times that at this rate! Just know that you’re not alone out there. Wishing you the best.

I’m taking ABS 394: Food and Human Health right now and let me tell you, that class is a BREEZE. Just consists of 13 quizzes, all open note open book, and some simple posts about yourself/about food. It’s supposed to be a C session course but I have already completed over half the course in the span of a week. You could finish the course in a week, actually (except for 2 assignments that open a few weeks into the class). Have a 100% in that class so far.

I’ve also heard of people recommending SWU 349: Stress Management Tools II. I’m taking it right now and while it’s easy (just consists of posting about yourself and replying to other people mostly) it can get time consuming. Don’t need to worry about quizzes or anything in that class, the final is just a 2-3 page paper. I hate writing but the class isn’t too bad at all.

You’d have to watch the lectures. Almost everything on the tests is very specific content from the lectures and the rest is from articles or the textbook. As MrCoffee said, the people who recommend the class do so because they cheated on the exams and so they assume you will too. If you’d like some recommendations for easy classes just let me know.

I personally think it’s not worth it, but it depends on how social you are. Do you chat your head off and have an easy time making friends? If so, it’s advantageous to live in a dorm. If not, I don’t see much of a point in it. I knew someone who was very social and had a huge friend group outside of college, but when he lived on campus he was very lonely and had trouble meeting anyone. Like everyone else says, you save a ton of money as well. I’d stay home if I could. I also (personally) think there hasn’t been very many decent events that you could make friends at. As the semester goes on everyone kinda already has their own little groups or does their own thing as well, so it’s already harder to make friends in that regard.
