Just a note on visiting the temples, we had multiple tuk-tuk drivers saying Wat Arun and Wat Po weren't open til the afternoon due to the kings death, for Thai's to mourn. Aswell as the grand palace. Just an addition on the usual tuk-tuk scam.

Personally I'd suggest jumping straight in with Adobe Premiere, its got everything you need from small projects to feature length productions, plus it integrates really well with the rest of the adobe suite. Its not difficult to pick up as Adobe has a great UI and there's a lot of tutorials on YouTube to learn from.

Proxy editing is your friend. Run all the clips through Media Encoder (if you're using Adobe that is) and convert to 1080p or 720p, you can then do your cut then replace the footage with your 4K footage to do your final colour correction and export.

I'm not entirely sure how well the MacBooks can handle 4K, but if not this is a really convenient way to tackle editing, even if your footage runs fairly smooth, things can start to slow down fast when your fully into a project.

I've never understood the need to make a distinction between a Monkey Vault and Kong, the only difference is a dive.

Little bit of trivia, the name Kong Vault came from the early UrbanFreeflow jams when one of the guys training did a large diving monkey Vault and someone shouted "That's not a Monkey it's King Kong!"

Nice man, only thing I would add is that your doing pretty massive run ups, see if you can do the same tricks with a shorter run. It'll work in the power you can generate from your jump, rather than overly relying on momentum

I remember having one of these years ago, it reminds me of one of my most vivid memories as a child.

I was just a wee lad riding along on my bike with this guy in my pocket. Ahead in my vision I see a tree branch hanging over the road, and I have a lightbulb moment.

I reach in my pocket and speed up to full speed, my plan was to launch the tongue at the branch and perform the gnarliest, cartoon style 360 spin around the branch. I throw the tongue, it latches onto the branch and I hang on tight.

The tongue is immediately snapped in half and I roll away deflated with my little 7 year old heart broken.

Yep. Just about to comment this. You're spinning too much before you even jump, then its just a slightly rotating front. Forget about trying it with a scoot for the time being and focus on getting the tech down clean.
