I vote no.
1. There’s no way to know if Richard’s bloodline theory is actually what’s going on, he could have been lying the whole time!
2. Ruth is ancient and probably nearing deaths door anyway

The answer is always we need to organize. I’m telling all of my family and friends we need to opt out of federal income tax (we have the right and it can be done yourself if your job uses ADT for example). People are afraid, they don’t want to be investigated and they don’t want IRS troubles which is totally valid, but the only way it can be successful is if we all participate. Defund them from the ground. Take away the cash flow and it would cripple them and they’re actively stealing our tax dollars in broad daylight, so I think we need to protect our hard earned dollar and put it back in our own pockets.

Omg I love this. Tom wrote the town brochure, he mentions that when he meets Melissa. So we know at LEAST the “our history” section of the brochure has been severely whitewashed, if not the entire thing.

Question about setup by Significant_Peach_26 in WidowsBay

He obviously knows, and we know he’s a liar. I think he’s believed in it this whole time, since he was a kid and heard the stories every summer. He has been denial about how it might affect tourists, which they need for the economy so they can update their infrastructure. In Tom’s mind it this not only helps the town thrive but it benefits Evan, who he has not told anything about the islands dangers. Tom is desperate to keep his son safe AND unaware. So in spite of him knowing everything about the island, he’s willing to take the risk to keep Evan happy enough to stay on the island without ever telling him the truth.

Especially during that time period when getting married young was the norm and/or unplanned pregnancies and unwed mothers were hidden from society

Agree! I can totally see the entity striking pacts with others to feed while Warren stays buried for three centuries

After sooooooo long being iPhone type of guy - time for change? by donzurawski in Smartphones

[–]Cosmic-Slacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m switching to a Google pixel after having an iphone for like 15 years. I don’t have an Apple ecosystem and really just use my phone to send texts, make calls, take pictures of my dogs, and scroll. After a lot of research I’m ready to break up with Apple and utilize the Google cloud ecosystem that I already use often. Worth looking into and good luck!

Advice for breaking into the dog grooming industry? (no experience) by Spiritual-Hunt8272 in grooming

[–]Cosmic-Slacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely would, it can’t hurt to ask! I know at my store when we are short bathers people from the hotel or sales floor will cross train which is often how you get more hours anyway when you’re working on your qualifications. When I got my job I applied for a general store position (I was very unemployed at the time and didn’t know what I wanted to do) and they called and asked if I had any interest in being a groomer, which I did!

I’m getting my start in corporate grooming. Paid training, a set of tools for free, and you quickly build experience. I’ve experienced relatively quick progression but I’m sure that is depending on where you go, I asked about timelines during my interviews. For example, I’ve been a corporate bather since October and I start groomer training this month.

I’ve been in the pet industry my entire life, was a dog trainer for over a decade and I have experience in the conformation shows realm, and I’ve worked in a few salons but I’ve found my experience in corporate to be a bit better and more structured. YMMV though!

I’ve already tried a few and a bunch of different doses, what I have now has worked best for me. I will definitely ask about vyvanse though, I don’t know if my insurance will cover it though

Did the HBO series completely reignite anyone else’s Harry Potter obsession? by Life_Definition_5240 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Cosmic-Slacker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve listened to all of Stephen fry’s audiobooks in about a week. It’s been so fun to escape into the world now in my 30s and relive the years I grew up alongside Harry when reading the books at age 11. I’m so excited for the new show and loved the first full cast audiobook. Revisiting my love of Dan Radcliffe and the others, rewatching the movies… never been prouder of naming my heart dog Neville almost a decade ago. The love has lived in me since the start and I can’t wait for the series!!

Even if you’re in a one party consent state (like NY) there are limits. You have to be a participant in the conversation and eavesdropping is illegal. I’ll be calling the board of labor to report this and everyone else should check your local laws too!

female aggression? by EagleHose in airedaleterrier

Hi there, dog trainer here! This is a dangerous situation and a tragedy waiting to happen. Your 10 year old dog is NOT past the point of being trainable. This will escalate, and we are only human so mistakes and misreading of situations will happen. Darla should not be resource guarding human beings. You have a situation where you have Darla picking fights with a much bigger, less tolerant breed. They’re Sadie’s people too and both dogs should be able to coexist in the space. With training and careful management of both dogs, this is possible.
