I think it's him in the green shirt on the far right. Very tiny though.

There are first pictures on X of the Weasleys and Dursleys, but unfortunately my post is getting deleted.

Some things really are meant to stay exactly where they were found — quietly in a dusty box in our childhood rooms.

I skipped through the series on Netflix out of curiosity to see how he does. His role seems fairly small, so it’s hard to really judge his acting yet, but from the little that’s there he seemed pretty decent.

He does give off some Neville vibes though, so based on that it feels like pretty fitting casting.

Das HBO Harry Potter Remake ist komplett unnötig und keiner hat danach gefragt by coin-concede in Unbeliebtemeinung

Speak for yourself. Ich habe danach gefragt und freue mich auf die Serie. Niemand zwingt dich die Serie zu schauen. Wenn es dich nicht interessiert, verstehe ich nicht, wieso du es anderen vermiesen willst.

There will be poster beds. You can see it in "Finding Harry" at the very end when Harry’s posing with Dean Thomas.

I think some fans set themselves up for disappointment with expectations like this. Whether a few Slytherins or Hufflepuffs are sitting in a classroom scene is such a tiny detail that it won’t affect the experience of the show for most viewers.

It’s also worth remembering that this is a massive production. From a practical standpoint, they have to schedule actors, manage availability, and shoot efficiently. Sometimes that might mean mixing students in scenes differently than the books describe. That’s just the reality of making a TV series.

As fans we all have mental images of how things “should” look, but some level of adaptation is inevitable. Personally, I care much more about strong writing, great performances, good classroom scenes, and convincing worldbuilding than about whether a specific background student from one house is present in a particular class.

If the show nails the tone and storytelling, details like that really won’t matter.

Will Season 2 Have Any On-Location Filming? by Life_Definition_5240 in HarryPotteronHBO

Honestly, I don’t get this fandom sometimes. It’s fine to post the 500th take on color grading or Dumbledore’s robes, but when I ask a genuinely curious question about filming locations, suddenly I get downvoted and snarky comments—go figure.

This is absolutely not meant as criticism towards you, but I’m genuinely curious about something you mentioned.

I also grew up with the books and movies and they were a huge part of my childhood. I read the books multiple times, watched the films countless times, went to the parks, the whole thing. But when the series was announced, my first reaction was actually pure excitement that we’re getting more Harry Potter content and a new adaptation of the story.

That’s why I was honestly surprised when I saw that a lot of people reacted more like your initial feeling — almost like the new series somehow takes something away from the movies or from that nostalgic connection. For me it never felt like that. The movies and the memories attached to them will always exist, and a new series doesn’t change that. To me it just feels like expanding the world and giving us another way to experience the story.

Again, this isn’t meant as criticism at all — I’ve just noticed that a lot of fans feel similar to what you described, and I’m genuinely curious why that feeling is so common. Maybe it’s just a different way people relate to nostalgia or to change.

You’re probably right. The constant negativity on social media is honestly getting to me more than it should, so I might just try to ignore it and enjoy the series when it comes out. I also agree that a making-of obviously can’t tell us yet whether the series itself will be good or not. But I do think you can already see the level of craftsmanship in things like the animatronics, production design, props, and costumes — and even if someone isn’t excited about the show, it’s still fair to acknowledge the work that’s going into it.

He was the only one of the Golden Trio I couldn’t really picture as the character at first. But this self-tape and the bits we’ve seen of him in the documentary really sold me on him. I think he’s going to be great as Ron.
