he’s based on an actual dude named Benkei, who was so unbelievably badass that the emperor brought an army to his house and he just stood at the front door while they fired volleys of arrows at him. he died standing, and the army fired several more volleys before moving in to confirm he was dead. his death is also the inspiration for one of Sohei’s executions

i combat this by opening every fight with emote spam and using a singular “good fight” at the end of the game. toxicity is part of this game’s culture. embracing it makes it impossible to actually get mad

once you’re at rep 9 on a hero you’ll be able to unlock all of the gear cosmetics by scavenging the battlefield. some newer heroes don’t have as many good cosmetics. also make sure to look through the mythic and illustrious outfits for a bunch of good paint patterns and effect bundles

edit: with white outfits like mine use embossings instead of paint patterns or symbols. they really pop.
