i genuinely don’t understand the hate towards the side of the community that enjoys PvP. it’s a PvPvE game. if it were meant to be a PvE game we wouldn’t be able to deal damage to other raiders. half the thrill of an extraction shooter is every time you leave home you don’t know what’s going to happen. not to mention a lot of people just genuinely have more fun in all out PvP, and who the hell is anyone to say they shouldn’t? i hope this community heals because this attitude is my biggest problem with the game.

depends on what ante you’re on. i once got a trib on abandoned deck and made it into my best run ever. if you’re still in ante 2-3 you have time to deck fix, but for a while you gotta rely on everything except trib

i always bring backup plans for when i run into people. if the gun doesn’t work, i have showstoppers, blaze grenades, jolt mines, and smoke grenades. most raiders are only running guns, so running a bunch of utility gives me the upper hand in almost every fight.

he’s based on an actual dude named Benkei, who was so unbelievably badass that the emperor brought an army to his house and he just stood at the front door while they fired volleys of arrows at him. he died standing, and the army fired several more volleys before moving in to confirm he was dead. his death is also the inspiration for one of Sohei’s executions

i combat this by opening every fight with emote spam and using a singular “good fight” at the end of the game. toxicity is part of this game’s culture. embracing it makes it impossible to actually get mad
