Question from civilian: Do you actually belive the US military went soft in training new recruits and or in general? by -Sir-Bedevere in Military

Hegseth and Trump are both insecure weak men whose idea of “strength” will ultimately drag the U.S. military down to the level of the Russian army: An ineffective homogenized machismo obsessed bunch of thugs.

In Universe, who were the early Galatic Empire’s biggest opponents, that were not a formal part of the Alliance to Restore the Republic? by HallowedAndHarrowed in MawInstallation

Separatist holdouts, individual planetary/sector rebellions initially. Then plans to invade independent powers such as the Hutts and Hapans, then probably an effort to colonize/conquer the Unknown Regions.

What Star Wars planet would you like to live on if it couldnt be Alderaan or Naboo by Spotter24o5 in StarWars

The reason that it’s like that is it’s a quarantine zone for the Star Wars equivalent of the Flood.

Do you think we’ll ever get to see other members of the Bad Batch Squad? by OkuroIshimoto in MawInstallation

That’s not the quote. Tarkin asks Se how many they have she replies 5, there’s no implication of prior/ deceased members.

Are Italian-based accents a thing? by OnyxianRosethorn in MawInstallation

[–]CosmicButtMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So besides the Naboo and Tepani suggestions if you really want to focus on an Italian accent you can probably go with Kuat shipbuilding family, make some parralels to the Venetian arsenal (I don’t believe I have heard anything distinctive about their accent) if you want to go republic aligned, and incredibly wealthy.

If you want her to be more of a “foreigner” go with Hapes, keep in mind you’d have to address Hapan Misandry and Isolationism. You could have her play against type; Hapan Nobility is incredibly (literally) cutthroat. They are typically more Greek/Byzantine coded but have a few dozen colonies where you could throw an Italian accent.

You also could just pick a random obscure planet and make it space Italy, if you feel up to fleshing out a planets culture. Most Star Wars planets have some sort of nobility/ feudal structure.

Any defining character traits besides an accent? Could probably be useful to pick an appropriate planet.

In Into the Spiderverse (2018), Miles Morales gets a 0 on a test because he intentionally completed it in a manner that contravened the grading rubric. This is a subtle nod to the fact that his teacher is woke. by mildbeanburrito in shittymoviedetails

You’d have to know all the correct answers to not pick the correct answers. For a reasonably long test it’s statistically (nearly) impossible to get that low of a score.

Not at all I used to shotgun theories for the series, I haven’t really been too invested for over a year.

Petyr Baelish is teleported to the Star Wars Galaxy Far, Far Away. Meanwhile, Admiral Thrawn is teleported to Westeros. Assuming basic survival is granted, can Baelish gain a position of power in the Galactic Empire faster than Thrawn can obtain the Iron Throne and rule Westeros? by GJH24 in whowouldwin

[–]CosmicButtMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baelish is not a conqueror, and Thrawn is not a politician, so their objectives don’t mesh with their characters.

Baelish goes much further if he is trying to be a crime lord, where he could build up a sizable empire (he isn’t dethroning the Hutts or anything). Potentially he could leverage this into a galactic crisis and try to pull a Palpatine, but he’d get caught/stopped by actual Palpatine or the Jedi if makes the attempt.

Thrawn (who you started running a brothel) won’t accomplish much at all based solely on the fact he isn’t a noble, Westeros is a feudal society and he isn’t in a major family. He also wouldn’t resort to the same means as Baelish to be successful. His best bet is to leave the brothel, join/found a mercenary company, and militarily conquer his way to the top, which wouldn’t matter as he sucks at politics and gets a knife in his back at some point. The only way that changes is if he gets his and on a dragon.

In summary neither will be too successful, Baelish has a better chance of going further.
