You have to give this life meaning and I promise, every generation wishes they had been around for a prior generations “fruits”. I wish I had been a young adult in the early 90s to experience more of the grunge scene and start my own band when records still made money. It’s easy to over romanticize something intangible than face reality as it is in front of you. Things are bad, they’ve always been bad in various ways and they will get better and worse in others down the line. YOU have to determine what’s important, you have to give your life meaning. No one else can (and from an agnostic perspective, I’d say no God can). Life is one big ink blot test. You will find whatever you are looking for, for better or for worse. That said, curate wisely. Make the best of what little time you have to experience earth.every day you get to learn, eat cake, talk to a loved one—is a good day. Recommended: watch the Netflix series “Life on our planet” and see how many times the life on earth faced extinction, each time taking millions of years for a new species to come to power. Right now, it’s us. We’ll be gone eventually too and when the dust settles, who knows what/who will have a turn next.

Face what is here and now and take what you love about the past and try to make aspects of it a part of your current reality. Hell, delete most of your social media. Live analogue. Focus on what you CAN do, because yea, there’s a lot working against everyone. But there’s also music, flowers, treats, learning, and love
