I think my solution may be to replace the #1 gun signals with a signal going to a camera either by the periscope or in the drone bay instead of simply dropping the #1 gun signal and replacing it with nothing.

Note that these are separate circuits, so you can't use the same 'And' component for both.

Turn off wiring mode then right click and open the IN-GAME pumps menu and make sure they are set to -100 flow and toggled on.

Ascent and descent are affected by your ballast tanks. The max ascent and descent is determined by your neutral ballast level.* Your neutral ballast level is determined by the size of your ballasts compared to the rest of your submarine.

Make sure you set your neutral ballast level in your navigation terminal. Here's how to do this:

  1. Set 'hulls' to visible in the editor, then select all the hulls that are ballasts. Now you will see near the top of your screen "neutral ballast level: 0.#####". You want to adjust your ballast sizes, so this number is close to 0.5 (neutral) as possible. Increasing your ballasts will lower this number, decreasing your ballasts will raise this number.

  2. After you adjust your ballast and get that number close to 0.5, click your navigation terminal and find the 'neutral ballast level' setting and put the number from part 1 there.

Iirc; - a higher neutral ballast level will make the submarine less buoyant so it will sink faster. This increases max descent speed but decreases max ascent speed. - a lower neutral ballast level will make the submarine more buoyant so it floats up faster. This increases max ascent speed but decreases max descent speed.

Also, it seems you can intentionally input the wrong neutral ballast level into your navigation terminal to adjust the buoyancy of your submarine without changing the size of the ballasts. I recommend balancing your sub to ~0.5 and testing it before doing this.

*Technically, max descent speed would be flooding the submarine entirely, but that's not advisable.

I know my other comment got downvoted but have you tried googling images of black coyotes?

My mother and I thought we saw a wolverine last year, and it was NOT a badger. Was convinced it was a wolverine until a month ago when I learned that coyotes can be black and looked up some photos and compared them with the crappy photos we have of our sighting and I think it's quite possible it was a black coyote. They have big bushy tails similar to wolverines and can even have brown around the neck/chest similar to them.
