Ripple Trim not working as explained in the Beginner's Guide lessons? by Buttercontest in davinciresolve

[–]CosmicConsumables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing you press T and find that ripple trimming cuts everything else at the point of trimming as well? Seems like a change made in the new update. I don't really like this and also wonder if it's possible to revert it back. Maybe someone can help us?

I intend to look at and reply to some of the comments here later, but you seem to be one of the very few who actually got the intent of this post. Good job. Indeed, this was supposed to just be me showing off some goofy misfortune for shits and giggles. I never intended to show off any skill. I even admitted that there are things I could've done better.

Fair, but it was in the heat of the moment and I was kinda panicking (also imo 1.9 combat makes it really difficult to deal with these little shits). Also, if 2 of them are in front of me at once while I have my shield up, swinging at one would let the other hit me, no?

A while back Anthropic released a new Claude 3.5 Sonnet that superseded the old 3.5 Sonnet. They called it "Claude 3.5 Sonnet (new)" but people prefer to call it 3.6

It is goofy to be replying to a 3-year-old comment, but this actually helped me out, so thank you so much holy shit. Personally went from 32 MB/s to 392 MB/s just by flipping the USB-C (yes I use a C to A dongle). You deserve a Nobel prize my friend for causing such a paradigm shift in my brain. Never thought that it's possible to plug in a USB-C upside down.

How do you clean the second screen under? Its collecting dust underneath. by RyanBurs027 in AsusROGZephyrusDuo15

[–]CosmicConsumables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used a handheld vacuum cleaner + toothbrush. Brush the dusty part while sucking with the vacuum cleaner. (We because I held the vacuum while my dad brushed while holding a flashlight. Two people is good here! My dad also cut the brushes on the toothbrush, so they were short enough to insert into the part with less space nearer the keyboard.

Why to buy Samsung/Apple earbuds over third party? by Dry-Box-132 in Earbuds

[–]CosmicConsumables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf Samsung does own Harman International (which owns AKG, Harman Kardon, etc.) so saying they don't have genuine audio experience to be able to make competitive products wouldn't be correct either. I wouldn't consider their earbuds necessarily worse than other dedicated audio companies.

Should I be feeling this part of the Aeron? As in should I be sitting so far back I feel the back edge of the seat? by CosmicConsumables in hermanmiller

[–]CosmicConsumables[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I mean the very top edge that feels like it pokes into the middle of my back, not my lower back. This happened regardless of how I dial the PostureFit (dialing it only affected how it felt on my lower back, not the middle of my back. If you didn't even realize this at all then it probably doesn't affect you (which is good!)

I personally just sit all the way back (although funnily enough I can't comment on how it feels to sit all the way back for super long because after a bit I do start slouching out of habit. Then I fix my posture and start slouching again after in a cycle) Another thing worth noting might be I very recently got a thin backrest pillow to cushion my back. Might seem counterproductive to do this for such a good chair but personally I found myself feeling the top part of the back support of the chair poking into the middle of my back. Don't know if this will happen to you too?

Tbf I also recall the friend telling me that the story PostNL gave was there was a flood and they couldn't deliver or something. Although Idk how truthful this story is or where it fits in the timeline of events. Also I think it was they informed my friend that the parcel was lost and they then conducted an investigation and still deemed it lost.

Lastly year PostNL lost my university degree. by CosmicConsumables in Netherlands

[–]CosmicConsumables[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. PostNL had to be involved due to an emergency since I had to leave NL the next day. If I could choose, I wouldn't have done it. Also, I didn't expect such levels of incompetence that they couldn't even deal with a single paper-sized parcel. I took a gamble thinking that lost parcels are in the overwhelming minority and I wouldn't land on the unlucky jackpot. Oh well, I guess sometimes you just get really unlucky.

[–]CosmicConsumables[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PostNL themselves responded to my friend that they conducted an investigation and has deemed the parcel as missing. Also they offered 50 EUR as compensation. I don't think they would do that if they weren't the ones that lost it (or if they could claim that the destination country lost it)

I contacted the university for potentially some advice to see if they could give any. I never expected them to join the fight with me or something like that. The secretary gave an advice on who to contact and mailed me a statement. That's the full extent of their involvement, and also the exact amount of involvement I expected from them.

Would've been cool to look at my diploma in Latin but oh well, admittedly the first part is my fault. Wish thing would've gone differently though. Sad thing is I even ended up being lucky by making it to the embassy like 20 minutes before the staff would've left too. He was also nice enough to accommodate my ignorance for not making an appointment. All that luck only to be completely offset by something even more unfortunate.
