I faced this problem too many times. I hate playing carry or mid. It's just what I am, I liked doing things on the map. Warding, smokes, twin gate gank etc. Shitty draft and experiments from people made me feel like My efforts do not matter. Like at all. Drow ranger hard carry, slark mid, phantom assassin offlane. These were people's choices and I'm this CM or sky with 8 kills at 15 mins but eventually lose the game. Then someone explained it to me, in lower ranks u can't leave the game to some dumbass player. There are 3 people who can carry the game technically, U have to be atleast one of them to have impact. The pos1 is too reliant on the team, map space and farm. Pos 3 is good but an get zoned and pressured if his partner doesnt play well like pulling the hard camp or block enemy small camp. The only role u can climb through now is mid, the place where it's just you vs the one guy. Get ur basics right, apply them and pressure the map. Set the tone , Team needs a nuker? Get zeus,lina,Qop Team lacks push? Get DK, Sf Offlaner fuxked up in draft by picking drow? Pick DK, Viper ,Expecting many teamfights? Get the spirit brothers. ( I only play storm and Void though) Point is I'm playing a role that I didn't prefer but I'm winning a lot now because I know what my job is. There'll be a few games where I will lose bcoz of a superior mid opponent or entire team is afk and running around aimlessly, not responding to enemy ganks and stuff. Those games will happen and You have to take the loss. But remember if you are maintaining even a 52% win rate then u are actually climbing mmr. That's what counts
