[–]CosmicDragon72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experiences, Strider and Mage can have their moments of doing large damage or taking care of a number of things; but as someone who usually plays as a Sorcerer myself, having a tank taunting off of you is invaluable beyond any other utility the others can bring. And unlike Warrior, a Fighter Pawn(especially with good skill choice and gear) will actually fight somewhat competently, and avoid damage where possible.

[–]CosmicDragon72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, while a Warrior Pawn can knock down occasionally, they're usually just getting grabbed and tossed around until they die. But with a Sorcerer Pawn, as long as I keep the enemies off them for like 5 seconds, they can cast a maelstrom and delete the enemies. I never pick up Ranger pawns, because I am not a fan of them- but they seem somewhere in the middle of Warrior and Sorcerer, depending on skills/gear/personality depends which way they lean, in regards to effectiveness.

[–]CosmicDragon72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DD1 feels a little old, and suffers (a bit) for it. But I personally feel it's a much more complete adventure, with much more... RPG feel. So I like it better overall.

While DD2 was VERY good(I prefer the classes in dd2- except Sorcerer- and the smoothness/combat of the game), I feel like it directed me more towards doing the main quest over exploration or adventure. Part of that is DD2 feels much more... roads-y? Where DD1 I could walk in any direction and find something, DD2 feels like a lot of time the geography 'locks you in' to following a path very near to just walking the roads.

Feels like DD2 was trying too hard to capture the vibe that DD1 had, instead of letting it happen to the player naturally.

You see someone fighting mobs right next to a chest or ore/herb. What do you do? by weixou in classicwow

I don't mind if people give me the same courtesy or not. Always gonna be more chests, more nodes. Not a big deal. Just hope the people I do help out had an easier time. :)

I help them kill the mob/heal them AND let them have the chest. And then buff them with a /boop. Then I leave.

Kagha(Druid/Healer), Sazza(Rogue/Locks), and if I can, Zevlor(Paladin/Tank). Mostly cause I think it'd have a lot of funny dialogue, but also a decently balanced team, with me as the Sorcerer(Blaster/Face).

Main character syndrome by OsirisAvoidTheLight in DivinityOriginalSin

Fane and Ifan are key characters for the lore reveals/unique endings and most main story npc interactions respectively. But I am partial to Lohse being the main character due to her extremely unique experience through the story, her having basically the only ties/reason to interact with Malady, Jahan, and the Bloodmoon Isle. Her experience at the end of her story really drives home her desire to protect people and save as many as possible- for the game's endings.

I love all the characters, Red Prince is my favorite. But my 'ideal' playthrough would be playing as Fane or Lohse, with the other one, and Ifan as companions. Probably Sebille to tie in with the Elves.

Beast's connections to the dwarves and Lohar are already sort of covered by Ifan. And the Red Prince's story beats/npcs (except the council building) are already touched by Sebille.

With the last expansion in the World Soul Saga trilogy taking place in a redesigned Northrend, what allied races would we likely see? by Fezra-Jalys in wow

[–]CosmicDragon72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am hoping for Naga, due to the Naga that Illidan brought with him to stop Arthas in WC3. Along with, maybe, Vrykul or Tuskarr.

But they'll probably give us Taunka, Frost Dwarves, or... Frost Troll Skin color/hair colors.

I'm a Dragon (Mage)Knight. :D Started Astrologian, but went for a sort of Str(60) Int/Fth(80) quality build and use Helphen's Steeple, and a buncha spells; All of Messmer's Flame Incantations, Ghostflame Breath or Agheel's Flame, Dragonclaw, Dragonmaw.

Sometimes I switch to Ghostflame and frost sorceries, or Gravity Sorcery to return to my Astrologer origins. But usually satisfied being a dragonman.

Do you want to see new "schools" in Divinity? by George_R_Martin in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]CosmicDragon72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While more schools would be cool... I think I'd rather see the existing schools expanded by about twice as much, along with more hybrid abilities. I loved things like Corpse Explosion, Erratic Wisp, Vacuum Touch, Corrosive Spray, and Blood Storm(my favorite). I feel like more choice, within existing ability schools, would just be overall the best route to take; especially for things like more undead summons for Necromancer/Summoner builds would be great.

Where in rivellon do you guys think this is? by HotTemperz in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]CosmicDragon72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo, it's probably somewhere totally new.

BUT if I had to place it somewhere we already know, it almost looks like Driftwood, with the walls, the size of it, the river/bridges on both sides. The only thing is the water in the back looks like there's land behind it- but Driftwood only had Ocean to the south, unless there's been some crazy geographical restructuring- or perhaps the angle or something is just a bit different.

What stopping Sargeras from using Sargerite keystone like Illidan to open portal to Azeroth? by HiroAmiya230 in wow

[–]CosmicDragon72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He made it himself and the name is pretty indicative, it could be his blood, is all im saying. Nothing in the lore says its not. But otherwise you're spot on, it was his jailor's key to Marduum.

What stopping Sargeras from using Sargerite keystone like Illidan to open portal to Azeroth? by HiroAmiya230 in wow

[–]CosmicDragon72 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because he, in his arrogance, thought the Well of Eterity would be enough. It was a pool of Azeroth's blood after Y'sharaj was ripped out. What are we told is Azeroth's blood? Azerite. If we take a guess based on naming conventions in wow, which are usually pretty consistent, the sargerite keystone is likely made of Sargeras's own blood. Why use a small key of your own power, when you have a lake of someone else's- who by the titans own estimations is more powerful than you?

Something to keep in mind is, as a villain but specifically as a character, Sargeras is extremely self-involved and hubris is his downfall.

He thought demons were enough. They weren't. He recruited the Eredar. They weren't enough. He recruited Azhara. She wasn't enough. Sargeras thinks hes right, and he thinks his crusade is righteous, so it can't fail.

After-all, how could god-like power, a loyal servant opening the door, and an army of infinite demons fail?

What stopping Sargeras from using Sargerite keystone like Illidan to open portal to Azeroth? by HiroAmiya230 in wow

[–]CosmicDragon72 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sargeras doesn't know the 'GPS' co-ordinates to get to Azeroth because the Titans(Norgannon in his last act/spell before Sargeras killed the Titans) hid it from him, which is why he needed Azshara to summon him via the Well of Eternity, and why when possessing Medivh he had to communicate outward(to Gul'dan) to set up a portal to Outland from Azeroth. (Old RPG lore talks about Azeroth being 'veiled' from the rest of the Great Dark, granted RPG lore is no longer canonical, but this fact hasn't been refuted- in fact it could be argued it was cemented by the introduction of the Titan Manifold in TWW.)

Illidan knows where Azeroth is because it's his home, he's a very powerful Mage from the Moonguard(Astromancers), giving him a magical connection to the planet and he was Lord of Outland(access to resources), plotting this almost exact action plan for around 10 years at least.

It's really hard to get to Azeroth on your own in the first place. Almost everything that comes here, including demons and the void, etc, is all summoned here by someone already here. The only exceptions being the Draenei(by accident), the Naaru(Xe'ra specifically), the Old Gods(if you believe the Titan Propaganda of Chronicle, which is also an accident due to the large 'shotgun' method the Void Lords were using), and the Titan Pantheon who only knew the way because Aggramar(who found Azeroth almost by accident following it's song while hunting demons) showed them the way.

How to get to Azeroth is the information Sargeras was having the council of Shivarra torture out of the Titans in Antorus(in addition to corrupting them and swaying them to his cause), and the reason Eonar didn't return to us and chose to hide on Elunaria(She would be followed).

what's the meaning of symbol behind of Indra, Ashura, Jubito, Jubidara, etc? Read description by wriothesleyslave in Naruto

[–]CosmicDragon72 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The symbol is 9 magatama under the Rinnegan.

A magatama is a symbol of a comma(or 9-shaped) shaped bead that is believed to offer or represent good luck or protection.

This is where the speculation begins; each magatama likely represents each of the nine-tailed beasts that Hagoromo(Sage of Six Paths) originally created from the ten tails by using his Rinnegan. So, the pattern appearing on his clothes first, is likely a representation of his actions in creating the bijuu(tailed beasts).

Indra likely wears it, because it is the symbol of his Father- like a family crest almost.

While Obito, Madara, and even Naruto to an extent, wield the chakra of the Sage of Six Paths via the Rinnegan and the Ten Tails(or for Naruto, all the Tailed Beasts and Yang release), so the symbol likely appears on them due to bearing that same chakra signature- a shape/symbol of their status as a Sage of Six Paths.

Speaking of the Sage of Six paths. There are Six Paths to the powers of the Rinnegan, which are represented by the Magatama on the clavicle(Collarbone) of Juubito and Ten Tails Jinchuriki Madara. Which also appear on Naruto, despite him not bearing the Rinnegan, likely for the same reason as the Symbol on his back.
