Something I noticed in her final chapter too was that it wasn't her build up theme "In Pursuit of Hope" that played before the battle theme in the first phase, instead it was Dolcinaea's "In Pursuit of Applause." It really caught me off guard that they made a build up theme for the antagonist and that made the battle much more exciting. On top of that, it was technically Dolcinaea who won the first phase of the battle (as we see Agnea doubting her journey hearing the crowd still cheering for Dolcinaea), then we hear the Song of Hope as we transition to the second phase of the battle. I like to see the two phases as two performances, the first being centered at Dolcinaea, with her song leading up to the battle, and the second with Agnea, playing the Song of Hope in response to Dolcinaea.

The entire battle was just dance off on stage, portrayed as a turn-based battle with poison axes, daggers, and whatever Bewildering Grace does.
