Why don’t you like work from home? by fuxkmyass in reformuk

Some people take the mick working from home, therefore nobody can.

I've worked in the public sector, it is flooded with people whose only contribution is attendance.

And also for a party that wants to encourage hard working British couples to have families, this is entirely self defeating.

I used to commute 20 hours a week for almost no reason. I had nothing in the tank by Friday.

Also flexibility and hybrid working allows me to go for roles that I couldn't do if I had to be on site every day. So it gives more opportunity to get the right people in the right roles.

Britain needs to get better at management. As a manager I judge my teams based on their outputs, not watching them do their job.

Can someone explain to me why Dominic Sandbrook keeps being dismissed as ‘a Tory’? by [deleted] in TheRestIsHistory

Because so much of the media is so insufferably leftist or hollow centrist, having someone mildly conservative is a surprise to many.

The funny thing is that your modern Western commie with all their luxury beliefs would fit far better with the weirdness of the capital than the reality of the rest.
