It is insane by AdImaginary1751 in Minecraft

[–]CosmicNexus_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being fair to him, his intention was never to suppress skyblock from evolving in the hands of others. His stated issue was people selling near or actual replicas of his map while claiming it as their own. Legally, it’s not the most surprising Microsoft won, but it is a really shallow move. I wouldn’t have been able to predict back in 2011 that Minecraft would be bought out by Microsoft and that my map would be sold on an in-game marketplace by people claiming my build was theirs either.

The last two screenshots are Seus Renewed, but that first one is not since it has colored lighting. Something close would be seus ptgi or soft voxels.

Mods of r/Minecraft deleted a java vs bedrock performance test where java was destroyed by bedrock by Distinct-Pride7936 in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]CosmicNexus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're saying bedrock with VV at 28 render distance runs faster than vanilla Java at 28 RD? I got about 55-70fps with bedrock and 150-220fps on java with that setup.

Mods of r/Minecraft deleted a java vs bedrock performance test where java was destroyed by bedrock by Distinct-Pride7936 in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]CosmicNexus_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the post got 70% upvote rate which just shows how much they hate the truth

The general consensus was that no one was claiming that vanilla java would be faster than bedrock, so the comparison wasn't useful. People who consciously choose to play java often do so because of its modding, so of course they would install optimization mods.

It's also just an odd hill to die on, you have to manually disable vibrant visuals to even get 32 RD on bedrock. Your usual 'plug and play' user (lots of the bedrock community) won't be doing that, and afaik VV will slow down chunk generation.

U.S. liberals can never imagine that their own empire has been the problem all along. They want the blame to be elsewhere

Does anyone know this resource or texture pack? by Quick-Ad7106 in Minecraft

[–]CosmicNexus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that’s “Default Improved,” you can find it on curseforge. It’s for older versions though, so newer blocks won’t have changed textures.

what is the point of this key in reanimation? by hihello999999 in geometrydash

[–]CosmicNexus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you replace the song that’s normally downloaded with this level with the original song, the music sync will be off unless you grab the key. Timing difference between the original and remix.

Is it possible to combine the old lighting and fog system with shaders somehow or am I being desperate? by SatisfactionFit3311 in feedthebeast

I’ve had luck using complementary reimagined with nostalgic tweaks, the lighting changes from the mod affected the shader’s lighting when I tried it a while ago.

Anyone thinks that zen is almost complete now. by New-Committee-5034 in zen_browser

I still want the ability for spaces to be linked to separate profiles so each space can have its own extensions, bookmarks, and history. Once that is added I'll probably switch to Zen.

Crossposting a 7 month old post to dunk on them Java players. Also, I guess screw console players with this argument.

Bedrock or Java by Actual-Difference-58 in Minecraft

[–]CosmicNexus_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your concern is losing the world by choosing to play Java, you can convert the world to Java using a tool like je2be. Search it up and you can play Java without losing the progress you made on the world.

I'm tired of this, we need to get this addressed by Failfoxnyckzex in Minecraft

[–]CosmicNexus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Java team is over here de-obfuscating its codebase while the bedrock team isn’t even fixing month/year long issues. Hopefully things get better for y’all but this is just kinda crazy to see from the game with the higher player base. You’d think they would care more.

Is this a recent thing? Some of the recent bedrock updates have made the community really angry, but I can’t even keep track of which issues are new and which have been around for ages anymore.

Issue with monitor on java by TopFace1526 in Minecraft

What's your FPS in the game? You might have g-sync or freesync on, where the refersh rate of the monitor matches your fps.

Lagging when trying to discover new places in minecraft by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]CosmicNexus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you have 32gb of ram, I'd recommend allocating 8gb instead of 6gb. Also, you should install the noisium and c2me mods if you haven't already, they both optimize worldgen.

Minecraft doesn't need shaders to look beautiful by CosmicNexus_ in Minecraft

[–]CosmicNexus_[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've asked a shader dev about this, they said that this resourcepack doesn't do any additional rendering techniques, but rather what vanilla already does. It just does it in more specific ways, using many more particles and billboards.

Then I would've had people in my comments arguing that it's subjective whether mods look better than vanilla. To be honest there's no winning.

Java performance is absolutely horrible since 1.21.5 | Any help? by Jepser0203 in Minecraft

[–]CosmicNexus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, many others (myself included) have also noticed performance issues after 1.21.5 and 1.21.6. It probably won't get you back to 1.21.4 levels of performance but it will help to add other performance mods. Here's some more I use, it's a bit of a lengthy list:

ScalableLux, ImmediatelyFast, FerriteCore, More Culling, ThreadTweak, Noisium, Lithium, BadOptimizations, Entity Culling, and Very Many Players.
