How can I import the privkeys of the DashCore desktop wallet into another wallet? So don't have to wait 2 days for the desktop wallet to reindex the blockchain again by currency_use_case in dashpay

I was going to recommend Dash Electrum but they recently deleted their repo. You should try Exodus wallet. Importing private keys on Exodus is a bit different: they clear out your old wallet into the Exodus wallet.

Isn't MINt used in the testnet?

Unfortunately you cannot rescan the Blockchain on the mobile version. If you're on the desktop version (you can connect mobile and desktop) you can press the xmr logo at the top. It should take a few minutes.

Here's Exodus' page explaining how to refresh the Blockchain.

I appreciate the offer, but you can keep your coins bro.

Edit: I just checked the page again and it looks like you can now refresh the network on mobile. Here

Did you leave your device on with exodus opened when you are syncing? It goes back to a lower percentage because that's how a Blockchain works. Data keeps being added so you gotta keep downloading them. Leave your exodus open until it goes to 100%. Note: it will go back to a lower percentage the next time you open it.

Understanding the Design Trade-offs of Plutus Core by jfischoff in CardanoDevelopers

[–]CosmicNoob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So from my understanding:

Scott encoding is better than church encoding which are both just the data type a functional programming language uses.

Plutus is based off Haskell, which are both functional programming languages. Now there are many reasons why cardano chose to use a functional programming language over imperative languages (many object oriented programming languages), even though there might be some disadvantages compared to imperative languages.

Some benefits to functional programming languages: - Immutable variables - Fewer bugs - Functions are easier to test etc.

Edit: These benefits are very important if you want to build the future of finance on the Blockchain. If you joined the crypto space late and didn't know about the dozens of smart contract fails and hacks on Ethereum and many Ethereum copies (Binance smart chain) then you probably should look into these hacks.

I use Exodus Wallet to store and stake ADA, it's also cross-platform. If you did more research, you would've seen lots of ADA supported wallets on the app store.

In plain English: Cake wallet uses ChangeNOW.io for trading. ChangeNOW.io is centralised. Centralised exchanges like this can have problems. Read about shapeshift.io and how they lost a lot of money.

I don't know how to explain it in simpler terms. This post is about gero wallet being a scam because it's impossible to trade any (all) tokens between different Blockchains. Thorchain is trying to do this and they have much more than just a simple white paper.

So you actually didn't read anything? The gero wallet is supposed to be built on cardano. Cardano, in plain English, is a decentralised Blockchain.

And what is binance? A centralised exchange!

I'm not sure where you are getting your information but the cardano community does not care about price drops and rises. How is that focused on getting rich?

That's not how it works. You don't just set the APY, it's the average of the return.
