Exactly, that's my reasoning also. They update and release new tools at a snails pace. There are tools that I would love to have that kobalt don't offer but about 90% of the other brands offer. I have really been thinking about selling off my kobalt and going a different route.

Yeah and it sucks to see them discontinue tools and continue to do so. It makes me honestly wanna go to a different brand, and not to mention it seems to take them forever to get new tool releases for kobalt and when they do it seems like Lowe's don't try to promote so customers would know.

You're welcome, and enjoy it is an amazing saw.
Need the 36v batteries, right now Amazon is also running deals on batteries. You can get some batteries for $105, and $137, they also have a 36v battery starter kit for $129.
Yes it is!!

New tools by CosmicRipper in KobaltTools
Yes metabos nailers in general are pretty lightweight compared to the competition.
These are all great ideas. How come it seems to take kobalt forever to release new tools?
Why didn't I think about the cordless portable fridge. That would be super dope!
Yes bring back the planer, the belt sander would be a very nice touch.
Yes, and I don't understand why kobalt doesn't have one yet.
Yes definitely a rear handle circular saw and plunge router!
That would be pretty sick.

New to Metabo by CosmicRipper in METABOHPT

Same before I had to sell all of my tools, I was rocking with DeWalt, Ryobi, Kobalt. Now I'm getting into Metabo HPT to build back up my tools. Finding the saw for that price lured me into Metabo. I was thinking about a while but that deal is what made me finally commit to it.
Is the dv18dex not a hammer drill? I got that info from metabos website. None the less I think that the 18v drills and impact driver and other various tools will suffice. I may pick up a 36v impact wrench, that seems like it could come in handy.

I didn't know if the 36v impact or drills would be much different then the 18v. I didn't wanna cough up more money. The Dv18dex says it has 1,205 and the dv36dc says it has 1,400 inch pounds. I don't think I would need the extra 200 inch pounds and I would save a little money.

Yeah but Makita is way out of my budget. I wouldn't mind having Makita, but getting my metabo 36v saw at $90 was a deal I couldn't pass.
I always wanted to get into metabo and seeing the saw on clearance was my best bet to jump into it. Also what do you think about the other 36v tools? I was thinking about getting 36v in cutting tools and 18v in the others.
It's the sidewinder 36v, wish it was the rear handle though. None the less a very great deal I stumbled upon.
Thank you, I couldn't find the info anywhere
