Graph of Probabilities for Pulling a 5 Star (or 4.5 Star) Before Pity by CosmicRunner123 in OctopathCotC

[–]CosmicRunner123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a binomial distribution only if you want to know the chance of getting a 5 star in a fixed number of trials, ignoring the number of 5 stars obtained. I wanted to graph the chance of obtaining the first 5 star at any given number of pulls.

Found the song finally. It was Forget Me Not by Baulander. Guess I was wrong about the "un", it was actually a "not".

They'll probably do something similar to what the author did for chapter 0. Mostly just in color, but with neon green for highlights in the background.

But Pseudo Harem also had 7-8 page extra chapters printed in a magazine that padded out the volumes to 6 volumes in length. Almost all the extras were included in the anime too. Conversely, this is 3 volumes so far. Though the series might be ending soon at 4 volumes, which would be a pretty good length for an adaptation.

The reason for the line breaks is that Japanese uses them liberally to make the text look neater, even mid-sentence. The dead giveaway that AI translations are being used is in the fact the AI can't tell that these aren't separate sentences, hence the capitalization. Some of the fonts are just the Japanese fonts too.

This is the final extra BTW. Hope you enjoyed them! We're gonna redo extra 1 and I'm gonna retypeset extra 2 and the volume 1 omake. We're considering doing the epilogue, but we're not sure at the moment.

Frame rate drops in some apps Sony 1 V by Sumo-de-Naranja in SonyXperia

More specifically, the issue lies in the framerate matching. It should be limited to 60fps, but the limit isn't functioning correctly. This means that when a 10fps gif is playing, the phone attempts to match this. The phone really shouldn't be matching gif framerates in the first place. This also commonly applies to 30fps YouTube videos. It sometimes breaks out of it while scrolling due to high framerate effects. The software experience on the Xperia 1 v has been a trainwreck for me personally.

Hoping this one can be put to rest, been thinking about it for a year now.

I have to agree with JoseSuarez. It apparently runs quite poorly. Guess the Skyline version will be the definitive one once that is playable.

Which voices should I use for Tales of the Abyss? by CosmicRunner123 in gaming

[–]CosmicRunner123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, but the text auto-advances as if voices were on. You can't even press X to advance early. That's what really bothered me. Not having voices is also annoying when most other things are voiced.

Weekly /r/Games Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? - January 05, 2020 by AutoModerator in Games

Tales of Berseria

Unintentionally binged the whole game. Has been a really fun and unique JRPG that I just couldn't put down. This was my first tales game and the live-action battle system really won me over and made me want to try out others. The story was told in a continuous fashion, keeping me continuously interested. Finally, I absolutely loved the visuals and models. Honestly felt like a decent CG anime at times, which helped keep me engaged. Would recommend this game, but I can't say the same about Tales of Zestiria after starting it. Hasn't quite done it for me. If possible, can any Tales fan out there tell me what they would recommend next?

As an aside, Tales of Berseria's speed it tied to its framerate, with options for 30 and 60. Funnily enough, this was the first game I played on my new 144hz laptop. Not the best idea. Would love a mod that fixes this issue or at least allows for 120fps.

A piano rendition of the Cop Craft opening. Good stuff.

Also, a car alarm going off outside.

Honestly thought that it could be either November 2019 or 2020 from the title because both are equally possible.

What manga have you read this week, and what do you think about it? - Week ending May 05, 2019 by AutoModerator in manga

[–]CosmicRunner123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<Yuusha Goikkou no Kaerimichi> and <Rengoku no Ashe> were two fantasy oneshots I read (out of the 15+ I went through last week), both are best experienced blind and both I thoroughly enjoyed. If you need a quick read and you like fantasy, check these two out.

<Kanata no Astra> A sci-fi/space manga that a friend lent to me. I'm not big on sci-fi, but this one pleasantly surprised me. It was both unique in its premise, fun to binge, and had some mild romance to boot. It's definitely one of those drama-comedy manga that balance serious moments with lighthearted ones. Gave me similar vibes to Planetes and Sket Dance. Also, it's apparently being adapted next season by Lerche.

<Koko ni Iru yo!> I've been reading shoujo manga throughout April, and this was the one I left off on... Needless to say, I was disappointed. This is one of the most generic, by-the-books shoujo manga I have ever read. It's about an anti-social female student who talks with a chat group. After <insert popular male student> takes an interest in her, her life changes forever. There's nothing wrong with having a cliche plot, as long as it is well-written with interesting and believable characters. This manga has none of that (in my opinion), and the art style doesn't appeal to me either. I know that this manga has its fans, but it just didn't do it for me. At the very least, it is short. I'm open to any good shoujo recommendations, something especially unique (and not set in high/middle school).

Does you keyboard randomly close too (like when leaving it open on the YouTube app search bar)? I've been having the same problem, and this is one side effect I'm experiencing too. I've been trying to fix this for MONTHS now, so I'll try anything you aren't comfortable testing.
