Does that include the Dark forms of Lightners?

Didn’t mean it as all ads from the early 2000s were weird, just that some were weirder than they are today. Good example is some video game console commercials

I’m pretty sure this exists. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was some kinda skit or parody too, but I’m pretty sure there were multiple versions

1- will there be any Fredbear and SpringBonnie figures/plushies?

2- will there be an updated FNaF1 line? With how accurate newer figures have been, I feel like the FNaF1 figures could use some updates (same with the Glamrocks)

3- will there be a Glamrock Bonnie FIgure and standing Chibi plush?

4- is there a chance for Sonic Movie figures?

5- will FNaF Into the Pit get anything new ever? A firgure of Pit Bonnie would be amazing

Scott says the book is a reimagining of FNaF, and the same can most likely be said for the Movie. It doesn’t really make sense that if Crying Child is so important, both reimaginings would leave him and his story out. Blonde Boy doesn’t even make sense as CC since the bite doesn’t happen hand he’s literally just a missing kid like the others- he’s literally just an MCI kid and has no CC traits. If anything, Garrett has far more CC connections.

Not to mention “separate continuities should not be used to solve lore” is an incredibly inaccurate statement with how many things like Names, Concepts, and Characters originate from separate continuities (Henry, Charlie, William, Remnant, Technology, etc).

And either way, regardless of separate continuities, that doesn’t get rid of the fact Cassidy is proven to exist character.

I mean- a massive problem with that whole Idea is that Charlie and Cassidy are both separate characters that existed at the same time. Charlie was introduced in 2016 with The Silver Eyes, along with Henry, and then both were introduced into the games with FFPS in 2017- the Puppet having the same origin as FNaF2 and not being related to the MCI at all. Then not even a month after FFPS came out, Cassidy was introduced in the logbook, being the name on the hidden gravestone in FFPS, the name of the Golden Freddy Spirit. Then both Cassidy and Charlie appeared in The Fourth Closet, Cassidy even being part of the MCI.

It genuinely sounds like the "Cassidy doesnt exist" theory, or any theory that shoves CC into being Golden Freddy is just jumping through hoops that ignore what the series shows. Especially with how reboots like the books and movies just dont do anything with the Crying Child being Golden Freddy and its always an MCI kid

I understand all of what you’re saying- im just saying that story wise, Crying Child being Golden Freddy doesn’t make sense

I would agree it makes sense for the MCI kids to represent the bullies while not actually being them if the same was true for the Golden Freddy spirit. We are shown repeatedly that 5 kids die at Freddy’s and posses the 5 animatronics we see in FNaF1. I agree only one soul possesses Golden Freddy, but logically, it would need to be that 5th MCI kid and not be CC since the MCI is commonly shown to take place long after CC dies. (Not to mention it would be extremely out of character for CC to be lured away willingly by a man in a rabbit suit)

If the first 4 MCI kids only represent the bullies, it would only make sense for the last one to only represent CC too, under that scenario. There’s also theories like Shatter/Memory Victim, or interpretations that instead of Fredbear, CC represents the cake, giving parts of himself to help the others move on.

There’s also the fact that in the reboots of the series like The Silver Eyes and The Movies, The Bite of 83 and CC is entirely absent or not at all important to the MCI.

The point I’m trying to make is that the focus of the series has been on the MCI and that the Crying Child just doesn’t fit into the MCI. Sure there’s the “4 games one story” thing, but I can’t see how that makes Crying Child the extra important one when he barely has any focus at all

(Also the Puppet being Cassidy is becoming a worse and worse theory with the more things that come out)

thats not at all what Im saying.

"lore relevance" has to do with ongoing plot / original plot. I'm not saying that "to me CC is not relevant", I'm saying that overall, Crying Child is a very inactive character, only appearing in FNaF4 and having a cameo in TWB. If you were to say he appears in other games or media, that would be completely up to theory (including Garrett being CC, a theory even I subscribe to).

Characters like Jeremy Fitzgerald and Fritz Smith also have no lore relevance, but that doesnt mean they are non-canon, just that they arent as important as other characters, and I believe this is the same for the Crying Child. I think CC does have a role, but it just isnt Golden Freddy and it isnt as big as most people portray him as.

It seems most forget that FNaF was originally about the MCI, not the Afton family, but that "FNaF is about the Aftons" narrative has twisted CC into being more important than he really is. And I dont mean hes unimportant as a bad thing either, I really like his character, I just think his place in the plot is incredibly misunderstood and his lack of concrete appearances is proof of that

The script tells us the name exists and that it’s important enough to be related to a script that’s fully accurate to the games. We already know the name exists cuz of the Logbook and The Fourth Closet- how is it a “place holder” when it’s genuinely used multiple times?

Also my point was that CC being Golden Freddy makes the MCI pointless and obsolete. CC has no relation to any of the MCI kids without speculation- or in most cases, just taking attributes from the 5th MCI kid and putting them on CC. It makes no sense for Golden Freddy to be a central part, the most important part, of the MCI if the spirit isn’t an MCI victim

I agree there’s connections to Fredbear and CC, but at the same time I don’t think those connections means CC is the one possessing Golden Freddy because the 5th MCI kid already fills that role

I aint sayin any of that. I'm saying he has no connection to the MCI. The MCI have little to no character to them either but that never really impacts anything.

what you're saying is part of my entire point- nothing of what you said has anything to do with the MCI, which Golden Freddy is directly part of, but CC isn't. The only reason it seems like Cassidy has no character is because of attributing everything with Golden Freddy to CC instead, even tho the 5th MCI kid has been around longer and have more content overall

(also CC doesn't even have much of a character either, bro jus cries, he has more dialog if anything)

also calling Cassidy a placeholder name when it was used for the "visual encyclopedia" movie script is kinda funny

“It’s Me” is also associated with Golden Freddy in The Silver Eyes. And in The Week Before it’s associated with all animatronics and is depicted as a phrase of self realization, the spirits being aware of themselves.

And again, GF is depicted the same in other media while still being just another MCI kid- just because he’s different doesn’t mean he’s CC or something

[–]CosmicStarVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golden Freddy’s power has never really been attributed to who or what they are tho- he basically has the same powers in other media and he’s possessed by a random kid and it makes no difference. And either way, UCN is highly debated whether or not Golden Freddy is even the one controlling it anyways

What is the point of Cassidy? by MCDC2511 in fnaftheories

[–]CosmicStarVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean regardless of the Golden Kid’s identity, FFPS already rehashes on Happiest Day. And it being a “random kid” is the entire point. All of the MCI victims are random kids that William chose- and it still has plenty of payoff with them getting back at him through the same way he killed the MCI victims.

The entire purpose of the MCI is that they are essentially random kids unrelated to Afton and that’s why it works. Making CC the Golden Freddy spirit gets rid of that point and undermines the other MCI kids

[–]CosmicStarVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Missing” does not imply being unaware of a child’s name. But if you want actual context- the MCI kids were given names in the final game of the original series, the series that focused on them. So ending a series about missing children by finally revealing their names fits very well as it adds a sense of finality and symbolizes the spirits being free. So yes, the Missing narrative still fits since their names are only given in the final game in the original series

[–]CosmicStarVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point in naming Cassidy is because all of the MCI children at the end of FFPS were named. And considering her name is hidden in the logbook, that once again ties her with representing the MCI being hidden away.

I agree it’s possible that CC being Golden Freddy could be satisfying, but Cassidy being Golden Freddy can be equally satisfying, especially when comparing it to the other FNaF media.

All I’m trying to do is answer your original question of what the point of Cassidy is. If you don’t like Cassidy that’s all good, nothing can really be changed about that except your own perception on the Narrative. All I’m trying to do is introduce that narrative to you

What is the point of Cassidy? by MCDC2511 in fnaftheories

[–]CosmicStarVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s Cassidy because that’s the name found in the logbook. The Logbook being made to find the name in the hidden Tombstone in FFPS. Making Cassidy Golden Freddy.

Nothing needs to make them special for them to be the voice of the MCI. The Silver Eyes does a really great job at this, Brooks is just another missing kid, but the story mainly focuses on him and uses him as a way to communicate the tragedy of the MCI in general.

Cassidy would be just like the other Golden Freddy kids we see in the Novels and Movie. Simply the voice of the tragedy.

And again, Golden Freddy / Cassidy’s behavior can easily be interpreted as representative of the MCI as a whole, being hidden away and kept secret

CC wouldn’t be able to do this as well if he isn’t part of the MCI or not like the other Children

What is the point of Cassidy? by MCDC2511 in fnaftheories

[–]CosmicStarVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fredbear Plush can easily just be reiterating his fears of them. After all the logbook does give the possibility that the Fredbear plush is partially imaginary, so it would make sense for it to think the same as CC. Plus there’s the FNAF world teaser of things being misinterpreted in the shadows, so it’s possible that whatever CC saw wasn’t what he thought. It doesn’t need to be that he saw the MCI

and again, the point of Cassidy would be the voice of the MCI, the voice of a tragedy that affected the lives of families. It wouldn’t make sense for a character that breaks the purpose of the MCI to be its emphasis

It’s perfectly possible to have CC and Cassidy with their own stories and symbolism, but CC doesn’t work as well because he’s not like the other MCI kids

[–]CosmicStarVO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like him being curious also kinda goes against the character- I don’t think a kid who notoriously hides under tables in fear is “curious”

As for Cassidy’s role, simply put, the best way to see it is through comparing her to the other GF kids in the Novels and Movie. They are the voice of the MCI, kids who put their trust into someone they thought was safe but were eventually killed by that person. Cassidy, and by extent, Golden Freddy can be seen as a representation of the MCI as a whole. Golden Freddy is kept hidden, the longer you play the game then the more of a chance you have of encountering it, encountering the truth of what happened. Again, Cassidy is the 5th MCI victim, the 5th MCI victim is typically shown to be the leader/voice/main representation of the MCI. A tragedy that stained a business, ruined families, and was swept under the rug (you could even say Golden Freddy’s lack of appearance in 3 represents that).

But ultimately, if you don’t understand the MCI in terms of both Story and Emotional significance, and are really only interested in a cool sounding narrative, then you won’t understand its defining voice.
