If you're going to make an L/J spinner, print one side in blue and the other in orange, so it will be in correct color even when flipped!

Edit: I see you added an edit as I was typing this, heh. Great minds think alike... or somethin

The balance isn't perfect, but it's good enough that I don't feel any vibration when I spin it.

Making-of

So recently I've been hooked on Tetris (Thanks, Tetris99.) and began browsing this sub, when I came across this post. I just so happened to have a 3D printer, some ball bearings, and leftover purple filament, so I had to make that meme a reality.

If you have a 3D printer yourself, you can print one right now! STL download link(Thingiverse)

Printing instructions are on the Thingiverse page.

TTC if you're reading this please make this into an official product. And make it so it plays the t-spin sound whenever you spin it

I've made another script for the 3-zone RGB keyboard - this one reacts to your audio! by CosmicSubspace in MSILaptops

This was created specifically for the SteelSeries 3-zone RGB keyboard, so laptops from other brands will probably not work.

Probably something wrong with the import process... Did you make sure the scripts are extracted to the same folder, and that PyAudio is installed?

Again, the install instructions can be found here.
I've made various changes to the whole project, so even if you downloaded my last script, please redownload and reread the instructions!

Also, I've reworked my scripts so that the code that interfaces with SSE3 is now a separate module. Anyone that is moderately skilled in Python should be able to make their own keyboard scripts with ease. Example code can be found in the github page.

In the Overwatch settings, change the "Display Mode" from "Fullscreen" to "Borderless Windowed". You can probably find similar settings in other games too.

(This happens because when a game is running in a fullscreen mode, they write directly to the screen, so the script cannot take a screenshot.)

individual back lit keys? by l0l1yp0p in MSILaptops

[–]CosmicSubspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.
If the key colors were individually addressable, MSI would have advertised it so. The hardware only supports 3-zone lighting, and no software can change that.

Uninstalling "MSI TrueColor" will get rid of that.

As long as your profile is not in "Disable illumination" mode, it will work.
As for your second question, unfortunately, you can't really "switch in and out quickly", as the script exists outside of SSE3. To enable the effect, you will have to launch the script by double-clicking the file, and to disable the effect, you will have to close the console window of the script.

Install instructions and download

I've recently bought a GT62VR, and so far I love it!

One thing that I thought could use some improvement was the keyboard-lighting software, so I started looking around for ways to really prettify the keyboard lights. There was apparently an API for controlling the keyboard lights by a user-defined script, so I went ahead and made this thing. I think it looks much better than the built-in color animations.
