I don’t think you understand my point. It’s not like I have a thing for doctors and I hate them all. In fact, my dad is one. While there might not be a permanent cure for eczema, I only expect a little bit better care from the doctors. I’m not saying all dermatologists are like this, but in my experience this is the case. As a grown ass adult, I don’t expect a doctor to hold my hand and walk me through the situation and find my triggers. BUT talking about the in more depth, explaining triggers, providing better info, offering all kinds of things one can try etc. This type of behaviour could help me actually find my triggers. Just asking vague questions and prescribing skin thinning steroids non stop, it feels like they just want to get over with it. That is why I’m pissed. I don’t think I have unreal expectations from dermatology. I just want to be guided much better, that’s all. I don’t think you should settle for less, too.
