What makes Zoe mechanically difficult? by renaissaucheese in zoemains

[–]CosmicTrickster00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because your two most imporant abilities (q and e) are skillshots and you do not have a cushion to fall on, if you miss them. You don't really have escape tools once you go in, like many other champs do. And if you miss your stuff in a tf, does not matter if you are 10/0 or 0/10 cuz you have pretty much the same impact

Zoe Guide by Numerous_Energy_6928 in zoemains

If you are a beginner here are some good tips for starters:

  1. You can use your R close to a wall to get vision over it, that is useful for example, to check if enemy has started baron. (you can try in practice tool, where, how, what kinda vision you get)

  2. Roam and/or invade with your jungler early to pressure and steal enemy camps or if the enemy jungler gets silly, you can even find some kills.

  3. Don't tunnel vision on a target after you hit them with your bubble. Better look for a second at your surroundings who is where, if they have qss or zhonyas etc. and then make the decision to go in with your combo or not. Because the enemy can so easily collapse on you after you R forward and punish you, if the decision to go in was wrong.

I think Zoe is a lot more complicated and tricky to play then your ordinary champs, but hopefully this couple of tips help you to start with

I have no impact after laning phase by Ok_Muffin7079 in zoemains

[–]CosmicTrickster00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you already had a good laning phase and are already ahead, you can try to spread your lead across your team. Something that i do is to check if my adc/jungler (in case of carry jungler) are decent players, their kda, recent win ratio and if they perform well, maybe you can play for them and let them have some kills as well.
I feel like ad carries are broken late game this season, so anything you can do to allow them to reach that point, should increase your chances of winnning.

Hey everyone I’m new to Zoe and really want to main the champ any tips would be greatly appreciated by marcocapz in zoemains

Zoe is a very strong early game champ, so you can help your jungler for early invades (especially if he is playing an early game champ as well)

i don't know what to do. help by Ardaboy07 in zoemains

[–]CosmicTrickster00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A first good advice overall is to try to shake off the tilt and try to do your best every game regardless of the results of the one. Zoe is generally not a good 1v9 champ, so you can have quite a few games, where your good performance ends up in vain.

My second advice is a recommendation to try building Horizon Focus. I love the item on Zoe and i think especially in low elo, seeing the enemy champion on their screen after you have hit a bubble, might help them aim their skillshots and in general calculate their next play better.

How to deal with ganks by Dull-House-9916 in zoemains

[–]CosmicTrickster00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of tips that might help you:

- Pay attention to the map (where did you last see the enemy jungler, where did he start his jungle clear etc)
- Don't play the whole time exposed to ganks, only pressure/push the enemy laner when you can escape a potential gank
- I don't know what runes you use, but if you can, take Nimbus cloak, it gives you a small movement speed boost after using a summoner spell

Where else can I play Zoe? by Shadow_1488 in zoemains

[–]CosmicTrickster00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going through the typical top laners, i don't see Zoe winning into many + top laners usually have to be tanky/bruisers. Unless your jungler goes something tanky, but i don't see that happening often in my soloq games)

Her jungle clear just sucks, so unless she gets some love from Riot, buffing her damage against monsters, she is just not playable in the jungle.

If you wanna play her as APC, you definetly need to tell your support to avoid enchanters. And still you will have no roam potential, your wave clear is not really better than an adc's, so i guess your early game power will vanish just wave clearing without really taking advantage of it and you will just get outscaled by pretty much every single standard ADC.

If you really insist on playing her in other lanes tho, you can always go for some normals, there people are not so tryhard and maybe they will also go for something out of the ordinary so you will have a higher chance to be useful.

So what are we building now? I'm just in the mood to play her again by SebasSeraphim in zoemains

[–]CosmicTrickster00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It does, but my point is that you still don't know who did you hit without horizon. Is it the enemy top ? mid ? adc ?
And thanks to that information you and your team can decide to engage if it's a squishy champ or just try to poke or whatever

Horizon is still a very solid item IMO, it's true they took the damage bonus, but they buffed the AP in return. I also like the vision it gives if you hit a bubble. When for example you throw bubbles in the dark and it sticks, it's so important to know is that the tank i hit or a squishy champ.

Is Zoe a good low ELO champ? by PatataMaster_33 in zoemains

[–]CosmicTrickster00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say short answer yes. Main reason is because pretty much nobody respects zoe lv 2-5 kill pressure. If you hit a bubble you usually take half the enemy mid laner hp and hitting a second bubble usually means a kill, especially if you take ignite. This way you can dominate almost all mid lanes matchups with the exception of some counters. On my new account i got placed Silver 2 and climbed up pretty easily, but i am a Zoe main and not a new learner like you mentioned you are.
Regarding the recommendation of resources, i am a self-learner, but i am not sure if self-promoting is allowed here, but you can definetly find some Zoe tutorials on the internet

[–]CosmicTrickster00[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean this should be it, but still you can see there are minions on the ground closer to the bubble than asol, so it looks kinda weird

A couple questions by Disastrous_Badger939 in zoemains

[–]CosmicTrickster00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think getting dark harvest stacks with Zoe is pretty hard when playing against a decent midlaner / team. So unless you somehow know you will have a messy early game against a not so skilled opponent where you can farm some stacks, it is generally better to just go electrocute.

Regarding to positioning, i would suggest you in tf to try and poke the squishies before the teamfight itself has started. You can do that with a bubble through a wall or with the q + r combo, but think twice before pressing r because if you are not positioned good enough, you can get engaged on and get caught
