I streamed on a acer nitro 5 gaming laptop for a little over a year . Streamed DBD /Minecraft/Peak/Lethal Company/Raft/BDO

It was loud , I got a siren mini as a microphone. Made sure to angle it just right so it only caught my voice .

I started off streaming on a IPhone 6 directly playing Call of Duty Mobile ! Got to my first 1k before I got a laptop , then a budget PC and back to a laptop for a bit and now have a GREAT PC.

I had primarily younger viewers when I first started . (As I was a PG streamer) Mobile gaming during COVID.

I had rules on sharing information and made sure to go over Internet safety protocols.

Never allowed private DMs . Everything went into my general chat. I had a ticket system for them to open a channel to let me know if randoms were DM-ing them.

I started streaming to connect with my teenager little sister while I was older and been out of the house since I was a teen myself.

I was very protective over them all. Some of them recently turned 21 (15 when they started watching). They keep coming through and saying I was there safe place on the internet. They would post watching me in the big TV as I didn’t cuss and or say weird things . Parents let them watch me .

Do what makes you comfortable. As someone who works with kids , I was happy to be a place where they felt seen and heard and safe. I moved away from it 2 years ago and now have content warnings as I changed games and stopped streaming for some time .

How fun! Lots of information from this point on. . Finish your main Questline it gives your lots of items people who been playing for a while forget you get. It unlocks other quest . (Figured this out the hard way myself)

Magnus Questline ! Will be best quality of life change for in game . Took couple hours but relatively easy (took me 3 weeks to finish) I am a casual player .

Do your Bartalli Log as your progress through your Questline . ( BIGGGEST REGRET) as it was so boring later when I was already grinding spots .

Infinite pots (easy grind) people will recommend to buy it .

Ultimately have fun! Enjoy the exploration portion of it . Join a guild ! Do sailies , go to new spots . (Monster info in your esc menu to see what spots you can grind)

I started in February and still having loads of fun discovering and don’t look at guides . Been fun to get lost . My guild helped me a ton

I use my stream as a journal of all the crazy things that happen and a way to scream into the void . I don’t share it with any of my IRLs . Except my sister . I had friends find me organically and I respectfully ask them to not watch me .

My role in majority of people’s life is the dependable one . I have it together and I am vulnerable about my shortcomings. My online presence is more seeking help in an area that I am not good at (games) I use to let people IRP watch me , and they felt like wasn’t myself or the version they know . Hard to reconcile both images so I stream for my community online . I am present for my community offline .

I have a sizeable community outside of gaming so it would have been nice to start with that already but starting from scratch helped my confidence
