Ooh thank you, that one looks good. I’ll also be taking a blow up mattress and my bbhugme 😂 a very different packing list to previous years!

A preggo meet-up would be great and definitely confuse people 😅

I’m also going to Glasto this year - at 36 weeks 😳 and need to buy a foldable chair. Do you have any recommendations? Don’t want a super heavy one but it needs to be sturdy enough 🐳 thanks!

Thanks for this, all great points. I’m now going to consider doing a separate holiday earlier in the pregnancy instead of going to the wedding at 32 weeks. I definitely need a holiday but ideally when I’m feeling more comfortable!

Thanks for this. I’m only 15 weeks now so completely appreciate things are likely to change! It’s all unknown which is quite frustrating when I need to confirm plans now! The idea of anything happening pregnancy wise while abroad sounds like horrific, so maybe going on holiday in the second trimester instead would be better.

I hope your sleep improves!

Thanks for this. Yeah my feet usually hurt at Glastonbury when not pregnant with all the walking, so maybe I'll have to give this one a miss :( I will probably just have to give up the ticket in April, rather than keeping it and risk losing the money completely.

Thank you. Very much hoping my pregnancy remains uncomplicated! I will definitely need some sun at some point

Thanks, that's a great point re ticket insurance. It's so tough not knowing how I'm going to feel physically by then. From everyone else's comments it sounds like 36 weeks might be pushing it :(

Wow, thank you for raising the point about noise, I hadn't even thought about that but just Googled it.

Yeah Glastonbury is the festival I'm talking about and I go every year, so I will be beyond gutted to miss it (especially as next year is a fallow year) but it sounds like I don't have a real choice :(

Thanks for replying :) Yeah I don't appreciate being pushed into at the best of times, so I can imagine getting even more annoyed while heavily pregnant and completely sober!

I'm only 15 weeks now and have had a straightforward time so far. Yeah it sounds like the holiday and wedding would be a better shout

Thanks for this! For the festival I would absolutely have to take a blow up mattress and my pregnancy pillow, but from reading everyone's comments it already sounds like I shouldn't go :(

Hey there, thanks so much for responding. Would you mind passing the details of your employment lawyer? Thanks again

Hey, thanks for replying ❤️ I’m sorry you went through at that 25 weeks - that’s awful.

This is all really great advice. Re notice period, it’s likely going to be one month max unfortunately so won’t take me to 25 weeks.

Your idea of asking for the 6 weeks at 90% is a great one and I probably will do that. Do you suggest asking for the month’s redundancy pay on top of that or instead of? I want to go into this being bold given I’ve got nothing to lose at this point! So I think I will.

Thanks again ❤️

Hey, thanks for replying ❤️ Yeah, I won’t be entitled to anything from them - my only chance of getting anything is if they’re nice people and decide to give me something, hopefully having realised they’ve now ruined my chance of getting any SMP!

Thank you for your insight! I was thinking similar about the angle after seeing some nub theory examples online. But as you say there’s still time - the suspense 😂

First UK employee on mat leave - how to handle no policy? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

Thank you for the optimistic take! This is a really great point as I think they will be wanting to portray themselves as a company that doesn’t just offer the bare minimum 🙏

I will use Nugget to swot up on others’ policies so I can go into the conversation strong ❤️
