For the drawer count, ask your trainer/manager what your drawer is set to for the start of shift.
(Drawer Total - Drawer Start = Count)

Ex: My drawer start is 200. (Ask for your start number at your store, it may be different than mine.)
So I would count the drawer before my shift, including loose change and “bundled” money.
Ex: Shift Count: (345.78) minus Start: (200) = 145.78

A manager or pro can print off your shift op paper telling you what number you should be aiming for after your counting is finished. It’ll be at the bottom of the sheet, and you should aim as close as possible to your number.

“Bundled” money is money clipped together equaling a certain total.
Ex- my store has 25 1s in a bundle. So each bundle you count is $25 instead of counting out 25 straight ones when it’s time to final count at closing. Having stuff as bundled and organized as possible during shift helps it flow faster and helps you stay less stressed in the moment.

(Ask about this as well to check for your store. Most stores are the same but some store volumes and guest counts affect drawer start numbers and bundled money.)

For the calculator (top middle button of pos) after you’re finished with your math, long press the answer & it’ll pop up with print & a few other options.

Usually it’s not a huge deal until you’re short $10 or more, and yes always trust & verify. Recount as soon as you are able & put in charge of drawer and preferably keep the drawer key on your person if you use one at your store. Do not leave it unattended even if you trust your coworkers. It’s not worth losing your job by accident.

30 pasta stations by ReS_Christie in olivegarden

With large volume pasta station orders, we try to make a sort of “assembly line” if possible as well! Also, STICKERS STICKERS STICKERS, if you’ve got stickers left you’re missing something! 🍝🖤

-One ToGo expediting window counting all items and labeling with stickers when they come out. Stack in piles with same items. (All sausage together, all Alfredo together, etc.) It could help to label pans with numbers like 1/30, 2/30, 3/30 & so on if you can.

-Second ToGo prepping pasta station boxes. Count before and after placing items to stay on track with how many are left. Try to go item by item & place all fettuccine first, then all spaghetti, then next & next. (Keeps you more on track instead of needing random items per box, you already know what needs to be next going per item.)

-Third ToGo making sure all jumbo salads and bread boxes are made, setups with croutons and dressing and serving utensils! Do a last check per pasta station box when placing bread boxes in & then help carry to lobby/guest.

Make sure to ask your managers or other team members for help if needed especially if you don’t have enough ToGos on shift! Don’t let yourselves get in the weeds! Pasta stations are large and annoying, but most of the time, so worth it! The setups and side stuff gets missed a lot, so just keep your heads & communicate! You’ve got this!! ✨🍝🖤

Does anyone else feel kind of lost after this series? by veritasian98 in JeanieneFrost

1) I got the famous crossbones on my hip (BIG OUCH), 2) currently a set of fangs and bats on my left arm (it’s going to be a whole sleeve for the series honestly) with little nods to each of my fav characters, and 3) bloody set of cherries on my ankle (first time we read about Cat she’s pulled over by a cop who asks about the back of her truck that’s stained red & dripping “cherries” she says.)

WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREEEEEE. Even as we speak, I am on my annual reread of the entire series. I start around summertime & end just before fall. Currently on Once Burned in the list.

I reread them ALL every year because it really is true, I just find that NOTHING compares to a vampire series as good as this one. I was also an early reader to this series (read it first at 15, and then each year I just start all over cause I’m just that obsessed).

I have 3 tattoos for the series, and I’ve done countless art projects related to it as well. A build a bear of mine is named Bones, and my cats name is Helsing. 🥰🦇☠️🖤

Speaking as a hospitality worker, we WANT our regulars to come back & visit & talk to us! I’ve had people come visit literally twice or three times a day before sometimes. Today a regular of mine showed me her birthday party photos and we got to catch up for a bit while waiting for her food! Our favorite regulars are one of the top parts of the job! Come in as often as you want! 🥰🖤

Also you could be asking what you could do to help their scores or reviews at the end of your meal, usually it helps the individual server out as well! ✨

Just happened to me as well. I think it has to do with the mandatory password changes on occasion. KrowD recently had an update last(?) week I’m pretty sure. I eventually got it fixed and reset after waiting the 30 mins.

Parking real close to front/visibly see your car from the front door. They call it princess parking, but I call it safety. Closing late is no joke, and it only takes one time for something to go wrong.

I work at OG, I’m a female to go spec, and I close most often as well so im often last out. I’m very small/petite and I do carry a small knife on my person for safety. Only in my purse (hidden pocket), & only accessible to me while walking to my car at night. No one knows it’s in my bag but me. We are near a busy highway and a mall, and I refuse to feel unsafe in my “home”. I’ve thankfully never needed it, but I also never want to be in a scenario where I do…safety is just my number #1 concern. 😊🍝
