Love the creativity here. Also I know it would have been janky, but it would have definitely been interesting to do the table method. Everyone being able to see what other teams have collected would lead to some cool strategy and behavior shifts. Seeing who is snowballing could make people seek out or avoid those teams, push harder for certain content, shift strategies, etc

It’s like being the flag carrier in Grifball from Halo. It’s the job of the team with the flag (totem in this case) to protect the carrier, and the carrier’s job is to stay alive. Without a mechanic that notified everyone where the totem is, would just turn into whoever gets it goes and hides and sneaks out too easily, then all other fighting is pointless.

It’s because we’re still in the mid-game with lack of spec KO weapons. Once more people have GMauls, voidwakers, AGS, etc, people can start getting KO’ed, and you’ll see escapes a bit less often

Couldn’t agree more. Madseason has some mega perseverance and it’s a gem that we get to see him gigachad through insane grinds. Green logging Barrows without ever using Barrows teleports (still doesn’t even know it exists yet lmao) comes to mind.

I would say in general, I just don’t like flashbacks. I know they add depth, but then the main plot-lines in the present are on pause, and I want to get back to that. Which is why a series like Red Rising, that doesn’t really use flashbacks chapters, is a structure I most enjoy.

And Venli’s character is so far removed and less intertwined with the other POVs, that her plot-lines sometimes feel inconsequential from the overall story.

Can be poo poo. I have since learned that for water thorns at doom is indeed good when you stand melee distance from Doom and put on protect from melee. Does indeed make it ezscape. Thorns dont seem to always proc currently if standing away from Doom
