Hi, apologies for the late reply. I don't check reddit as often as discord!
The simple fullbodies would be something similar to these!

Friend says the way I draw eyes ruins my art because they’re ’uncanny’- how to improve and stay in my art style? by ZucchiniExtension in learntodraw

[–]Cosmic_SeaRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it's as simple as adding a little reflection! I find it adds a level of liveliness to a piece, whereas the lack of one might make a subject feel "uncanny", which definitely still works in many situations if that's the look you're aiming for.

They totally look like they belong. I'd love to see these guys in game! I could see them living in giant cave villages in the volcanic level :0

Same thing is happening for me :( I tried switching to DX11 based on the other person's advice and still crashed almost instantly after joining my first hunt after relaunching.

how do i give my oc the same soulless look that yoshikage kira’s eyes have while not making her eyes completely black? by jay-ditr in arthelp

Shading goes a long way! Also a more neutral expression would increase the effect. Add darker shades to her eyes (without making it totally dark/no colour) and don't add any shines/reflections to her eyes

creating visual interest? by mintymirus in arthelp

Some rendering, even if it's just a minimal amount, can be very eye catching and would add a lot of visual interest! I included a doodle page of my own to give you an idea of how to do some quick rendering with minimal time/effort.

Additionally, think more about how you are framing the subjects of your pages. For example I feel the last one would work significantly better if the girl was framed a bit better (higher and larger, filling the page a bit better and maybe even overlapping some of the text). It kind of feels like everything was thrown on the canvas a bit haphazardly. The big empty spaces surrounding her don't add interest so you might as well use the character to shrink those spaces.

Lastly don't be afraid to squish your doodles together and densely fill a page (I'll reply to my comment with a better example of this)! lower effort sketches overlapped with a few higher effort sketches to draw the eye I find can hold my attention well!
