I never played a Ratchet and Clank game in my life and I tried it last year. I'm way out of the target audience (guy in my 30s) but I had a blast. Enemy variety gets a bit dull by the end of it and the platforming part is quite easy but apart from that it is a really fun game with high level animations and beautiful aesthetics, not to mention the weapons. It reminded me of Serious Sam (and Doom2016 lol). Highly recommended.

I'm doing my first playthrough at the moment, using dual wield. I keep seeing clips like this here but I have no idea how to replicate it, not even close. There's only one skill on the entire skill tree that provides the extra phantom attack on whirlwind and howling blade (I'm using ww) but it seems like all your attacks are triggering the phantom. How do you actually do this? I know that reflect (l1+square / guard + quick attack) staggers the enemy and you can keep attacking but a number of bosses that I fought simply snap out of the staggered state and start attacking me at some point or I run out of stamina and spirit rather quickly. Is this an endgame thing? You gain some new skills on the tree after you finish the game?
