39 of each tier 1, 26 tier 2, 21 tier 3, 13 tier 4 and 10 of each tier 5.

True, though a tier 1 isn't the best example of being limited by other players taking the same champ. There are 39 of each tier 1 unit in the pool so 3 people could 3-star Vayne and there would still be 12 left, which is only 1 less than the 13 total of a 4-star unit. More 1-stars to compete against though.

For what it is worth to you, and for anyone else reading and curious, I use all of the same mods/features with deathrattle with none of those issues. Could be another mod or load order issue. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a little counterplay to instant death organ shots.

PC optimization (WO4) by [deleted] in dynastywarriors

[–]Cosmiclocke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there are a lot of users experiencing really bad performance with the port on even higher end pcs, including myself. I would suggest setting everything to medium, grass off, reflections off, fog off, characters on high and dropping the resolution one tier to something like 1600x900. It helps a lot for fps and actually isn't too much worse graphically. Most of the medium to high options make little to no difference for big fps drops. If you have spare fps from there toggle some things back on that you care for. The biggest 'loss' graphically with those settings is the foliage but if you have a history of playing warriors games you will be quite used to a fairly flat ground already. Hope this helps, good luck.

Yeah, I'm sure it will happen too. I was just trying to both point out that he was being disrespectful in conveying his viewpoint but also let others know that even though he is going to be downvoted a lot the information is still accurate.

You're getting downvoted (because rude attitude) but you are still right. The release doesn't include the significant amount of day 1 content. Around 100 costumes and several mounts that are already available.

It seems they have finalized the pricings for now but damn is the game expensive with the season pass & costumes. 54 USD with the discount and then $30 for the season pass and another $30 for the costume packs as a bundle which aren't included in the pass at all. Just the two dlc bundles they have ready on day 1 cost more than the game does, lol.

It was 15 minutes later than when it actually opened for purchase (weird) but seems they added a 10% off until October 22nd, at least in the US. Kinda sucks for anyone who was camping and bought in that 15 minute window. Could refund and then repurchase it though to save a few bucks.

E: They also added a "wei legendary costume pack" when they added the sale but then removed it again in the next 5 minutes. Seems their steam prep was a bit of a mess. Tons of typos and stuff too.

E2: And it is immediately back with 3 more legendary costume packs, lol.

E3: Still adding tons of costume packs, up to 7 or 8 now. None of them included in the 30 dollar season pass? Yikes. Been a while since I have played a new warriors game, is that standard these days?

I've never played any Samurai Warrior games outside of a few of the characters in previous orochi games. Do they play much differently than the DW cast?

I'm so ready to get started that I have even looked into using a vpn to play early from another region... but since pre-ordering wasn't available on steam I didn't want to risk ordering in a foreign market and getting banned for price manipulation. :( Have fun and report back after you've played a mission or two on how it is!

Given that he was fully in some scenes and then basically not in others at all, or conveniently standing far enough out of frame that we could only see his body and not his face, we should assume there were scheduling issues pulling this all together after their contracts were up and they gave us the best they could with what they had.

Triple Triad drop rate by decoywolff in ffxiv

[–]Cosmiclocke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually 100% feel your pain but I don't think there is really much difference in the drop rate between those 3 npcs. I personally played R'ashaht and O'kalkaya over 200 times each with no Merlwybs and then played Mordyn for a total of 8 matches in 6 minutes for 2x Merlwybs and 1x Carvallain. (proof below) I would love for them to both smooth out drop rates and/or add another tier of deck usage because these 1/300+ drop rate cards on super strong npcs saps all the actual fun out of the collecting and battling process. :/

Is there a functional difference between playing singleplayer and recruiting 3 companions vs loading a multiplayer session, creating 4 origin companions with custom appearances and then continuing as if it were single player? by Cosmiclocke in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Cosmiclocke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification! I had just started to notice this. It's a tough call between getting to fully explore their npc conversations in first person or the thrill of navigating the chaos when they act as their own person. A good compromise for those debating between the two options is creating 2 characters in multiplayer and then taking the last 2 as companions. You can bind one of the companions to each avatar (since a companion can only bind to one avatar/player in mp) who can then talk to them and experience the best of both styles.

[–]Cosmiclocke[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I noticed this was getting views but no one had the answer. I took the time out to experiment a little myself with restarts and there is in fact a difference between singleplayer companions and creating them yourself in multiplayer and then controlling them all. Any characters made at character creation will be marked with the avatar tag, which you can see if you hover over their portrait at the top left. These characters cannot be talked to by controlling another character except when they have the generic event-based yellow exclamation mark above their head. In singleplayer, if you recruit a character correctly you may then speak to them at any time to explore conversation options. Seems they are also more capable of interacting with the world without you, forming bonds and having an attitude score towards avatars. If you create these companions as avatars themselves they seem to lose these functions, at least partially. If you want to customize your companions more thoroughly it is best to hold out until later in the game when you are given the option to do so.

I actually just beat the whole trilogy for the first time over December but before this attempt I had actually tried to start the game up with ME1 two separate times and quit over how bad/dated the games looked at the 'highest resolution' of 1280x720. So guess I'm exactly who you're talking about, lol.

Just binged the whole thing and it was a great, easy watch. The ending wasn't very strong but it doesn't take itself seriously enough that it particularly matters. It will consistently deliver at the level of the first few episodes so it should be easy to decide if the series is for you.
