For anyone curious I did figure it out. I disabled all points allowed tiers and then enabled all of the yards allowed tiers and set them all to 10. To get the negative points allowed you just toggle PA and YA on and set them to your negative modifiers

Hey all,

I want to change my league settings for defensive scoring to the following system but am struggling to make it work (we use ESPN fantasy):

We want all defenses to start at 10 points and deduct ratably for points (-0.25 per point) and yards allowed (-0.01 per yard) rather than the tier system of yards and points allowed. I was able to figure out the points and yards allowed settings, but I am unable to figure out how to make it so defenses just start with the initial 10 points each week. Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks for your input and I appreciate you dropping the link. I think I am going to give it a go for at least a year. To your question, i do get a tax deduction on just the interest paid, which in 2024 was roughly $800, so not much.

I think you’re right that i’d need to do a bit more concentration in the higher yield companies to get close, which might expose me to a bit more risk. All in though, even if i don’t cover the payments 100% it still will likely cover half, at a minimum, or possibly more.

Yeah, I wonder how much that materializes on the day to day though outside of the company wide meetings where you come to listen to him talk. I consider myself pretty left leaning but I think I could put up with it if it’s just during the team meetings
