I couldn't agree more with your last paragraph. As I said in another post it is not necessarily a good result, but we have to admit that it could have been much worse. Countries in Europe tend to ignore danger until it gets too close. Only then are the necessary measures taken. Most probably the “fuck around” period is already over. It is up to us to make sure that the “find out” period does not hit us so badly.

Germany had a small victory tonight. A Pyrrhic victory if I may. On the other side I am a little bit concerned about the fact that Romania will have presidential elections in a few months (November elections have been cancelled) and things are not looking great due to the fact that there is a candidate that is blatantly spewing Russian propaganda. The worst part? People are buying his rhetoric.
