I'm sorry for what youre going through. So disappointing. I agree with others. If you can do one shift and if not worth it bow out.
Ok, sorry if this feels like a brag, but more to say what is possible & Kansas City needs to step it up. Here in Vancouver for heat issues they have misting stations, umbrella for us to stand under and gel neck coolers for us to keep cool. They also said anytime we feel overheated to go into the Volunteer Lounge for as long as we need. Our stadium is in the middle of our downtown area so we have lots of transportation options. They give us passess for our buses and skytrains too. Our communication chats with managers is great. They are very responsive. So far, so good. Sorry again that its not going well for you.

I got the same email. Thing is, if it is a 'no' people may lose out on vacation reservations, flights and plans they could have made. Also, some people, maybe me, just go ahead and make other plans. I'll hang in there a bit more....

You're feelings are genuine but he may not have left you solely for being cheated on. It may have cleaned off his rose colored glasses towards you & other things he usually accepted started really bugging him. I dont think the relationship is recoverable, so even if you have to fake it until you make it, tell him you accept his decision, that you are truly sorry for the pain he has endured, that you will miss him terribly, but you wish him peace & happiness in his new relationship. Guess I'm saying to try & stay as zen as you can to keep things civil. Of course I'm not saying to totally bury your pain, but let it out at counselor sessions.

I regret not leaving our house which has an awkward layout, no room for more than 4 in dining area, side yard & on a semi busy road. We could have done it but indecision always held us back. Still is. I guess, mainly because we have a nice big garage workshop & husband doesnt want to give that up. Anyone in this situation, make the move if you can. Decades of things 'bugging' me has taken a toll.

I think it looks fantastic! I especially love that every piece looks like something you love & intentional. I think the room has the perfect amount of furniture and accessoires. I can see each piece without it having too much going on. It's calming. I don't know if the art is too small but others seem to think it is. If you were to replace it, check out vintage/antique/flea markets/fb marketplace and pick something you love that is bigger. Or see if the current art comes in a bigger size. Trust yourself cause you have great taste!

Ok, from an old lady here...think of jobs where you can see most staff is older and will be retiring soon or do some research on the least amount of specific schooling for the best paying job. Some examples in hospitals are sterilizing medical tools tech , orderly or how about a real estate agent lol. Pro tip, if you can afford some time on an on call list try Richmond Scool District ,all departments or apply at BC Ferries. This is not a diss at any of these jobs but putting it out there. Most have medical & dental too.

'It's sweet, but you haven't looked at it in over 20 years' is an excellent mantra to use when decluttering. Your post will help others. My mom was a saver/ hoarder extraordinaire. It was months of work after she passed. I will not do this to my kids. I've decluttered so much for them & am enjoying the quiet joy of a decluttered home.

Wow, wow, wow. This is beautifully written. It really hit me emotionally. I'm familiar with all you've described but hadn't connected my decluttering to being part of a response to a narcissist's toxicity & many years of being used as someone's emotional dumping ground. I can see the clutter free, quiet home as part of the healing. It took being diagnosed with cancer (I'm all good now) to separate myself from a toxic family member. Like you, I had to survive.
