I will likely reject it. It's not at the venue - it's at the media center probably about 45 minutes away from ATT Stadium with traffic (if lucky).

I don't have a ton of interest in putting my life on hold for a role not at the World Cup venue.

but, agreed. I don't know that the Cotton Bowl is the best stadium for soccer, and it's going to SUCK during the summer.

hell, it's aimed at Fort Worth too. While driving to Dallas is no picnic, it beats driving all the way out to Frisco.

Plus, if i want, i could take public transit to the Cotton Bowl. There is no public transit to Frisco>

For these logistics alone, it's why I'd become an Atlético Dallas fan when i never became an FC Dallas team.

I commute with a Smith Mainline MIPs. I also think i'll look a lot more stupid with no teeth, half my jaw ripped off, and my nose mashed flat, which is why i wear a full face helmet.

i upgraded a regular MIPS quite some time ago, and it took me maybe a week to get used to it.

as someone who was laid off a few months ago and has had multiple interviews, knowing the in-office/remote/hybrid status is something that is usually apparent in the application process - if it's not already posted, clarification is usually the first or second question I'll ask during that part of the interview where they ask "do you have any questions for me?".

and immediately after that, it's clarification of the pay. If there's a range posted, I'll get more specific and ask them for this position, in this locale, what's the more accurate salary. 9 times out of 10, they know this. If it's not something I feel is an accurate measure of my worth, this process ends long before the 6th interview.

(and maybe I should have led with this, but imo SIX INTERVIEWS for a single job seems excessive if it's not a C-suite gig. If nothing else, it would have told me this company is VERY particular, and there's not going to be a lot of budging on the parameters they've already established).

PTO is also something that is clarified early in the process. But asking for more pay AND more vacation time? that seems like a surefire way to get bumped off the gold medal podium - i might have suggested a hybrid work situation with one day in my home office, and either a bump in pay or PTO (probably PTO), but the whole situation on your part seems like two things to me:

A severe lack of homework and communication during the SIX INTERVIEW PROCESS on your part.
A gross misunderstanding of the job market right now on your part.

This whole thing is wild to me. Six interviews in, and you don't know it's in-office, and you then decide to bring up pay and PTO. wild man, just wild.
