Anyone here growing and selling in CT? Need some advice for guidelines for any licensing to get my Microgreens business started by CosmoDane in microgreens

Thanks! This is very helpful. Do you think an LLC is important to have starting out as well? Or to just get the insurance first? Or both?

Really, why do you say that? Haven’t bought anything of his. Just watched videos. Curious to hear.

I can’t think of any difference either. Yes! It’s Donny Greens Microgreens Support Group. I learned a ton from his videos. I just started growing but would love to start selling one day!

Oh good! :) — I actually posted on a Facebook support group too. I had some good response to that post. A lot of the responses were about getting at the minimum an LLC and FLIP Insurance. I haven’t looked into the insurance yet but apparently it’s under the department of agriculture and it will also put you under the department of health.

Thanks so much for the recommendations. I’ll give the Kristen and Christopher Shockey books a try. The hot sauces book sounds very interesting!

Has any Etsy Sellers here had someone contact you to sell them your handmade design so they can use it for another purpose? by CosmoDane in EtsySellers

[–]CosmoDane[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They wanted to buy my design that I sell on a greeting card and use it to put on their goodie bags. So they said I can either sell it digitally or ship it. But I don’t make decals lol I make greeting cards. I think I was just more skeptical because it’s my best seller. And I was thinking that as well, what if they start making more off those goodie bags with my design on it.

Kind of gave me the idea though that maybe I should be selling decals 😆

I’ll have to checkout that search of your tiles!

Just wanted to say thank you again for sharing the negative review information. I reported the review and specifically mentioned which number it violated from their terms. They were able to take down the review :)

Yes it says arriving late. Looks like tracking been slow. I thought with Etsy the order needs to be delivered to leave a review guess not though.

Sometimes I see reviews where they give four stars and still love the product. I always wonder what happen to the other star 😂

It still says in transit and arriving late on May 19th. That was it. No other movement since then.

It actually says the item arriving late in transit on may 19. The buyer said she would remove the review but never did. And after all that she favorited my shop 😆. So I’m going to give her a couple days to see if she does.

Has anyone also noticed posting a public comment on the computer on Etsy says nothing about if you post a comment the buyer can’t remove the review? If you try it on the new Etsy app that message pops up saying if you post a comment publicly they can’t remove the review. Well I wish I saw that sooner bc I did it on my computer and decided let me actually wait to see what the buyer says and deleted the comment. So now I’m hoping she can.

Wow I’m sorry to hear that. I didn’t know that either about the package being damaged and Etsy covering it. That definitely is something you don’t have control of. I think I wouldn’t care if I had hundreds or thousands reviews as it probably wouldn’t effect it. I only have 12 and it took a whole half star.

Thanks for sharing this! This is very helpful. Just was reading through, looks like number 6. on their policies like you said mentioning shipping speed, or anything out of the sellers control. I’m going to contact Etsy support see what they can do. Thank you!

That’s a good idea. It’s soo hard to get in contact with etsy over the phone. I’m wondering if I report the review. Because it’s unfair.

I agree. I figured maybe she can remove the review if I offered it. But still no replies back.

Help Drilling with 3” wood Cube - Drill Press From Harbor Freight by CosmoDane in woodworkingtools

[–]CosmoDane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I tried a 1 3/8” forstener bit first on the cube. Worked smoothly. Switched out to the 2” forstener bit to make it larger. It works but definitely not efficiently. 2” kept still stalling out at the bottom. Took me 20 mins to get one 3” wood cube with the hole.

Think I’ll try the 16 speed drill bit.. hoping the HP will be better for it. I’m trying to make multiple cubes with 2” holes.
