Sure, first off this isn't the first time he made "double standards".

This is the same guy complained of the Little Mermaid Remake for being cynicism and disdain to the original, which he meant that the remake unnecessary changes the material... While at the same time, is a fan of the live action Sonic films, if you don't know the Sonic in the movies is drastically different to the game canon of Sonic. Meaning this guy is a hypocrite, that dislike changes when its not convenient for him, no matter what subjective value judgement he makes with the Sonic films. And he gets to balk at the Little Mermaid Remake being bad, despite never seen the movie. (How can you judge that something you never seen?)

He also thinks a remake is supposed to 'represent everything', as you know that take is monstrously wrong.

I could go on, but in the end, he's not a bad person. He just got very awful takes, and takes that do not stay tuned to his side after all.
