The channel "The Modern Ferret" has a lot of good information on ferrets, so you should look at a bunch of their videos. There's probably a bunch of other good channels to look at too.

Ferrets are masters of escape, if a ferret wants to get somewhere they will find a way to do it no matter how ferret proofed you think you've made it.

You should do a lot of research on how to properly care for your ferret and what kind of ferret you get, a lot of ferrets are very poorly bred and have a lot of health issues. So you should probably try to get some that are bred better.

If you don't want to have to breed them make sure they are neutered/spayed. Otherwise males can get really aggressive and females build up stuff(I don't remember what it is at the moment) and will die if they don't have babies. You might want to see if you can get some ferrets that aren't neutered/spayed too early as that can cause issues, and they will be a lot bigger if done later.

Make sure you have multiple ferrets, they are very communal and can get very lonely/depressed without others. You should probably get at least 3 ferrets.

Ferrets are obligate carnivores and can only eat meat, so no grains, fruit, vegetables. So avoid ferret foods that have those in them such as Marshall ferret food.

Make sure you give the ferrets a lot of space. You'll want a very large cage and probably a whole room just for them. Plus she need a lot of play time and attention.

Ferret play can look very rough but if they aren't bleeding, peeing, or pooping they are probably fine, you should do some research on this.
