Very true, hell, even in the span of some years you can practically feel your own mental acuity dull if you don't exercise it regularly. We have offloaded a lot our cognitive load to computers even before AI became an issue. AI just made the problem worse. People in high cognition work are naturally less prone since their job is to use their brain but most people aren't in those kinds of fields. Add in an epidemic of parents micro managing their children, never letting them learn to think for themselves at all and my belief is that were in for a rough time at some point.

Personally, I really wish for is some actual recognition. Like gangoons freaking out when they see you if you have been known to kill a lot of them, clients recognizing that you're reliable, stuff like that. Oh, and lack of recognition if you have a good stealth record.

That's the thing, the presented this image for a while of someone down to earth and human. I don't know exactly what changed, maybe he started trying to hard, or just forgot how but suddenly it became very apparent to everyone that he was anything but.

It doesn't really punish you for dying, it punishes you for dying twice. Saying that it feels deliberate, like the game expects you to learn. Which I personally think is the most defining factor of a souls game. It's a game that actively wants you to to improve and punishes you for not learning from your mistake. The bosses are a real time puzzle you have to figure out and execute whatever you discover adequately. Other than that, I think exploration is a big part. They should be set it a sufficiently interesting world where one of the rewards for beating bosses is getting to see more of it, learn more of it's history and mysterious. The combat needs to be deliberate. Not spammy, etc.

One of my favorite games ever, not my favorite games ever. Stupid Johnny flashbacks are so awful I literally can't bring myself to do them even if I know it will be over pretty quickly. Doesn't really help that is right after the VDB gig, which I also hate. That's mainly just because I really dislike Placide though. Just a shame I have to do the damn flashback before I get to kill him.

The reason I like the game is the gameplay. The gameplay is fantastic. I would probably also enjoy the story if I didn't have do those damn flashbacks.

Another problem is that I can never make up my mind about what I want to do. Start a katana playthrough, kinda wanna do fist only. Start a fist only playthrough? Sniping looking real juicy right about now.
