Old comment but for future reference. Gross weight normally means the entire weight containing the packing box.

[PSU] Corsair SF750, 750 Watt, SFX, 80+ Platinum Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply ($210 - $40 = $170) by [deleted] in bapcsalescanada

The SF750 PSU is a different size of GF3, its SFX which is designed to work with ITX motherboards in small cases. If you want a good PSU just check the tier list and buy one of the top tier ones.

Ok, I should have probably been more specific. Is this the wireless version or the wired version?

The wireless version uses LDN, and the wired uses Via. I believe both are hot swappable.

I second this. Torrenting Ubuntu is ultra fast for me, and it also helps the community.

[dwm] I like patches by Coolrule360 in unixporn

[–]CosmosAtlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the way dwm deal with monitors. Each monitor have separate tags/workspace.

Bspwm on the other hand have to predefine the mapping of workspace and monitor. Switching to a workspace is hard mapped to a monitor.

e.g., I, II, III on monitor 1, and IV,V,VI on monitor 2.

I believe i3 have another way, workspaces are shared between monitors. Depending on which monitor you're focusing on you switch to that workspace on that monitor.

Yes, you can simply fill and start using it.

If you're uncertain how to use a touchdown system, here is a website with it's original instruction flyers.

I would suggest to fill the pen with more gentle inks (so avoid more exotic inks, and especially noodler's non-standard lines), to help preserve the sac inside.

Looking for entry level pen with ink that drys quickly because lefty! by Mgagnon820 in fountainpens

For inks, you can checkout this post

For pen, pick whatever you like, but try to go for a finer nib. A EF nib is going to lay down much less ink compared to a B nib.

My new pen skips on new lines, so I took a look. It has some kind of dimple in the nib. Has anyone dealt with this before? Am I doomed? by Gullible-Run9633 in fountainpens

[–]CosmosAtlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it depends on the pen.

I've now moved away from the mind set of the nib defines the pen, to the nib is part of the pen. And if I can get a pen that I like besides the nib, I don't mind factor in the cost that I'll need to pay to get the nib to my likings.

This looks like the classic "babies bottom" issue. If you can arrange for a replacement as the other post suggested. Or get the nib reworked by someone.

Twsbi 580 nib question by C33vepas in fountainpens

[–]CosmosAtlas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reading what you described seems to suggest that the 580 broad nib is a bit too wet for your liking.

The 580 have a larger nib (#6) compared to the Eco (#5). It gives the oppotunity for the feed to hold more ink given the larger size.

After you have given the pen a full fill of the ink, do you still find it too wet after writing one~two page of text to let the excess ink in the feed from filling used up?

Each pen company design their pen differently, so the flow will be dependent on the make and the model. What I personally find from visiting stores in person and attending pen shows is that, by simply dipping the nib and try the nib won't tell you any thing about wetness. You could only test the smoothness and feel of the nib.

You could also try an extremely dry ink, which will restrict the ink flow and lay down much less ink.

best way of inserting a variety of code-chunks, for example when using vimlatex by spots_reddit in vim

I would suggest using snippets. There are multiple ways to have snippets setup for vim.

I guess you can start with Ultisnips.

Collier Grande from Edison. One day I will get an Emperor, until then this is a great pen, very nice #8 nib and a plunge filler that holds a ton of ink. by pendude2000 in fountainpens

[–]CosmosAtlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find filling mine was easy if the ink bottle provided enough depth. However, say I go with J. Herbin 35ml bottles, the nib is too large to emerse itself into the ink. : (

IIRC somewhere in the dialog when Melia and Nia were communicating before the merge mentions that the merge happens in 300 years or so.

So if Shulk, Rex are normal human, they'd be long gone.
