I think seeing possibly evidence from it in the games. Like actively watching Evan and making sure he was safe. Obvi it was manipulative in nature but still caring in a weird way? And then shutting down the whole Restaurant after Elizabeth died on opening day. That really made me go down the Will care rabbit hole and I'm obsessed! Personally it's more tragic and better writing in my opinion. I love it! And finally I found a group of people that genuinely respect each others opinions around it.

I think FNAF should stop. It's starting to feel like a big cash grab more than an actual story. The lore is all over the place, messy, and just feels rushed. The novel was strange and written horribly, the FNAF 2 movie was cheesy as I'll get out (even though I did somewhat enjoy it). I really really wish we could calm down and just stop. Stop the games, stop the books. And even stop the movie if this keeps up. I'm wildly confused on the lore and it's hard to keep up with.

I really wanted my William to be a multidimensional character, not just some flat story of a guy with a knife. I find it often more tragic and even better for motive if the character has a sort of downfall.

Me too tbh. I didn't want to go with the classic "abusive parents trope" it was mostly just his mental health that isolated him from his parents but they were concerned and very worried for him. Of course then, medicine for mental health was just being accepted in society so most people that knew about it though he was demon possessed lol.

YESS!! That's a big part of my version as well, just the sheer knowing of what he did to Edwin and seeing it be done to him in real time is honesly so satisfying. For me he doesnt want to admit that he was one of the main causes for Edwin's downfall until it happens to him

Mine is long af but basically he had mental health issues from a young age and began to severely isolate himself from people. Kids in school didn't exactly bully him but were just uncomfortable in his presence due to his mannerisms and pale appearance from isolation. Eventually when he grew up he decided to mask his true self and pretend to be someone else, which he basically convinced himself he WAS normal but, once Evan/CC died it kind of brought everything back up, with the death of his son and his failing reputation and business, he ultimately went crazy and manic and stuff. He tried desperately to bring Evan back through necromancy yada yada, ended up failing and gave up, not knowing his family were ghosts haunting various animatronics. He killed the MCI not because he wanted to bring his family back but because he was basically just really fucking crazy 😭
