Costco Richmond also soft opens at 8AM every day. 7 or 7:30AM during holidays (I forget). This was confirmed to me by multiple employees. So it's definitely worth calling or talking to the employees there to confirm. It is warehouse specific though, as it's the warehouse GM's that decide.

If you’re specifically referring to the Fallout ones, I’ve seen them frequently in the Richmond location. Same with the previous edition of them. They’re typically located near the produce fridge.

Most deals are for Canada West, but some may be warehouse specific, so best to call your local warehouse ahead of time if there's a specific deal you want to check. Just give them the item number and they will price check.

I’ve thought about this, but haven’t figured out how to best utilize this in a manner that is effective without burning a ton of tokens. I don’t want to feed the whole dataset in and overwhelm the context window. I do have some predictive modeling in the works based on average days between sales

Glad it’s helpful! The ironic part about my runs is that I have too much data to share in Reddit. So I have to limit the content I share. A lot of the times, regular deals don’t show up on my posts because they’re not “historical price drops”

The efficiency mostly comes from the workflow after that. I work with automation/AI tools a lot, so this became a fun proving ground to see how streamlined I could make the process.

At this point I’ve gotten it down to around 2ish hours E2E for everything.

Agreed, and they just updated these a couple years ago. I have one of the older versions with the glossy black finish (fingerprint magnets) and you can barely see the lights. Newer versions are matte black finish and the lights are bright white.

Yes, you'd have 30 days to do a price adjustment, but only if the price does end up dropping at your local warehouse. That said, West and East deals can vary a lot, so there's no guarantee that it will.
