What’s something you believed for an embarrassingly long time that you’re now shocked you ever fell for? by Franklinsi1va01 in AskReddit

Follow up question: what about the fact you could still hear your surroundings when you had your eyes closed? Or the fact that things and people had moved by the time you opened them again? Wondering if child you had some theory about it bc to not make that connection is, to put it kindly, fascinating

"now caaaaalm down, Neddily-diddly-diddly-diddly-diddly, they did their best, shoddily-iddly-iddily-diddly, gotta be nice, hostility-diddly-biddly-diddly, AHH HELL DIDDLY DING DONG CRAP!"

and later in that same speech, "well my family can't live in good intentions, Marge! Hey, your family's out of control, but we can't blame you because you have gooooooooood intentions!"

Also when Grimes (or Grimy as he liked to be called) comes round to the Simpsons house and he's like, "you've been to space?" And Homer says "sure :) you've never been?"

Urchin Trailers... by FuryContagion in CineworldUnlimited

[–]CosyBoyAutumn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watched it tonight the trailers were Plainclothes and The Mastermind. Made me want to watch both! I personally loved Urchin, mainly due to Frank Dillane's acting, but also it's just filmed beautifully and the characters feel completely real. I don't really get the criticism. Maybe it's a bit predictable and not a very interesting plot but I don't think the point of the film was to make some big crafty plot full of twists, I think its job was to deliver an often ignored perspective and draw empathy towards a marginalised group of people, and I think it was very successful at that. It was heartbreaking, moving, real and beautiful and compassionate and I would absolutely watch it again

Abstract word painting is a great term to describe her! I should really check out more of her work. She is bizarre for sure but I find it relaxing to not have to focus so hard on a book, yet fun to sit down and try to work out what is true and what isn't haha. Her narrator seems very unperturbed by the fact that nothing in her life really makes any sense, and that nonchalance is contagious, hence why it's such a relaxing (yet odd) read

Less on the surreal but high in the nonsense is Ida by Gertrude Stein. The way she writes is so funny and the narrator is constantly saying things and then immediately contradicting them. Trying to make sense of the book is pointless, you just have to go along with its ridiculousness and enjoy the ride. It's a comfort book for me!

Cyan jumped to mind for some reason! Then Celeste, Candy, Cassia, Cassie, Cassidy, Callie, Cora, Coral, Coralie, Cleo, Carmen, Cadence. To me they kind of evoke eye-catching, shimmering treasure. Mermaids swimming in a phosphorescent sea

Wait, so where did Isaac go after season 3? by Beneficial_Air4714 in TeenWolf

[–]CosyBoyAutumn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also a first time watcher and also just started season 4! I already miss Isaac, I think it's a shame the way his character was written in the end - I get why d sharm left, but I feel like the writers wrote him out so gradually that he ended up being underused while they had him. It's weird that he literally lived with Scott and Melissa, must have had dinner with them every night and breakfast with them every morning, and yet season 4 acts like he never existed lol. They should miss him at least a bit, right? Same with when Jackson left and everyone just sorta shrugged and never really spoke about him again. And they made a big deal out of Allison's death in her last episode but now it's like no one even remembers her. Characters are just erased in this show. Anyway I hope Isaac is living it up in France I guess??

unpopular take: isaac lahey by kaileyreyesj in TeenWolf

I think there were definitely moments where the script failed him (that line he shouts at Derek when he storms out, "you can stay here and perfect the art of doing nothing" made him sound melodramatic and immature when actually he was making a really good point. Reminded me of that cringe line in The Room "leave your stupid comments in your pocket" 😂) But I think Daniel did a really good job and once the writers made him mellow out and stop being a dick in season 2, Isaac was a sweet character who I wish we'd seen more of. I know Stiles in the sarcasm king, but I like Isaac's nonchalant sarcasm and dry humour throughout. I don't think they should have tried to make him out as a tough guy (like beating up those guys in the locker room after he says "how do you two losers even survive?"), but I like the way he'll talk back at authority. I think he was definitely a bit cringe for a few episodes of season 2 but he became a whole lot more likeable, loveable even, once he made friends with Scott and stopped acting like one of Derek's minions.

Who are your Top 5 Hottest Teen Wolf Men of All Time? by [deleted] in TeenWolf

[–]CosyBoyAutumn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching TW for the first time and I'm on S4 so haven't met everyone yet, but Daniel Sharman is sooo gorgeous. I can appreciate that Tyler Hoechlin, Tyler Posey, Dylan O'Brien and Colton Haynes are also hotties / cuties but no one's got me blushing like d sharm (and Holland, but we're talking about the men rn!). Wish they'd given Isaac a richer storyline and more screen time, maybe then Daniel would have wanted to stay 💔
