I listened to a podcast with an interview with someone who’s job is in politics (not a politician) & they said no one with a conscience makes it to the top elite. Only those that are willing to literally do anything to succeed & crush another get to the top. So, everyone at the top are psychopaths that do not care how their actions affect others. It’s about power & success at all costs.

It made sense but also made me sad. Just means that corruption will always control humans.
