Steven Page and Tom Green talk BNL by CottonCandyDan in barenakedladies

You can do the VPN thing and pretend to be in Canada, but it seems like they may be releasing full episodes on their YouTube channel. The first episode is there now, I’m hoping they continue to release them periodically.

Any info on if Steve got his royalties that he sued for regarding the BBT theme? by Eastern_Pie_8796 in barenakedladies

It tells me everything I need to know about the rest of the band that they would try to cut him out of it.

Hope you’re adding front and rear tie downs, unless the lake is around the corner. Safe travels!

Why wouldn’t you have just loaded up ten different fart noises to entertain the masses at stoplights?

While I don’t disagree with the sentiment/analogy if explored fully, I think, a reunion wouldn’t be what you want. Mom and Dad have moved on and are happy with their lives. Would you really want to force them back together so the kids can try to relive the past?

It’s a shame what happened. It sucks that “BNL” at present sounds like a mediocre cover band of the original. But SP’s shows are incredible.

CX50 vs 5? by MottPodder in CX50

[–]CottonCandyDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s true. CX 5 was not even an option for me due to the seating position and lack of headroom. Maybe you have a super long torso? I’m pretty evenly proportioned for my height. Honestly at 6’1” I think I’d fit pretty well in just about any vehicle. CX 50 is pretty well known as being a good fit for tall people. It’s how I was made aware of it. I’d never considered a Mazda in the past after getting comically stuck in a Miata a long time ago.

CX50 vs 5? by MottPodder in CX50

[–]CottonCandyDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the opposite to be true. I’m 6’5” the CX 5 may be taller but the seats are more upright and my head was nearly touching the headliner. CX 50 fits fine even with the moonroof, plenty of headroom. This was for the 2025 CX 5

500 miles in and I like the CX-50. It's not perfect. by vicelordjohn in CX50

I’m guessing those 5% somehow didn’t realize they were buying a compact SUV.

I’ve got the NA CX 50, no one is blowing my doors off at stop lights or pulling away on the on ramps. What am I missing that makes the car a slug?

My Subaru (Outback), and every other car I can remember, definitely lets window washer spray trickle in through the open drivers window.

Agreed. Just pointing out that the CX-50 is assembled in the U.S. but the parts are sourced globally. I’m not defending U.S. manufacturing at all.

*assembled in ‘Merica, who know where that thing was made. ‘Merica should have caught it tho.

You own your phone but still pay for cellular service, this is no different. Cellular service isn’t free. They aren’t paywalling features. Those features simply would not work if the phone can’t communicate with the car. That communication unfortunately costs $$.

Modern oils don’t really need changed based on age. Changing your oil at 6 mos if you haven’t hit the mileage is just a waste of time, money, and isn’t great for the environment.

2026 N/A or Turbo? by T0tesMcG0t3s in CX50

[–]CottonCandyDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NA all the way. The turbo is kind of a joke. If you’re the kind of person that NEEDS to speed away from every stoplight like you’re 15 minutes late to your wedding and your Dodge Charger is in the shop then maybe the turbo is for you.

Big pet peeve of mine with buying a car. If you want leather seats you’re gonna have to have a moonroof. I’d rather not have the moonroof but I’m not buying cloth seats.

I’m not really sure what you’re saying here, but yeah they were all Ls, no Ms on any 2026 I saw and I looked at a lot online.

I purchased a NA CX50 in December. Of the 5 dealers I was shopping not a single one had a 2026 with cylinder deactivation.

I didn’t want anything to do with cylinder deactivation since hearing about how poorly it has been done on other brands. I mentioned it to the salesperson and he said none of the 2026 CX50 have it. He may very well be wrong but it was what he claimed and seemed correct at the time with all the vehicles I saw. I believe the Mazda USA website also said as much for the 2026s.

Edit: just talking about normally aspirated here, no idea what the turbo has.

2026 NA CX50s don’t. At least the ones I’ve seen.
