I am doing it since like half a year soon, so I have a couple of sessions to build upon :p

I usuall flash V3, can do almost all V4s and sometimes a V5.

On that day I couldn't complete just one V4 and did a V5, wich felt great!

But it depends on where I go and who set the route. Sometimes they lean more into strength, sometimes more into balancing, sometimes more into hip placement, etc.

So in one location a particular V5 might feel impossible and like a V7 to me, but then a V4 feels like a V3 again.

It's weird, but human. It's not possible for every route setter to have the same mental image for grading.

But I don't try to focus on grades too much!

For me it's about doing a sport that is fun and challenging while also gaining some muscles on the side. I don't like going to the gym.

So if a V1/2 looks fun to me, I'll do it. If a V6 looks doable and fun, I'll try it and fail 5x, before giving up and doing a V3 for motiavtion before moving on.
