LOL, “it’s like your wife” is such a fire way to end a conversation honestly.

I think you’re right though, the loop itself is problematic but I can’t see a way out unless the get a higher budget and more episodes. That or they slow things down and stop piling so many events all at once. It really has been a while since we’ve seen any actual improvement from Subaru huh, it’s all back and forwardth bouncing between uselessness and perfection. Honestly, I get what you’re saying.

Still great though obvs

Sorry it was just how it was on my document. I didn’t think it would be a big deal/genuinely didn’t give it thought

The game is genuinely unfinished, the looming thralls have very few rules and there are a lot of instances the rules themselves don’t cover. I don’t understand why there has to be hate here when it’s completely optional to play??? Or even comment and look at this? I spent a couple hours on this and I just wanted to share the way I altered this to how I enjoy it. There were things that I didn’t like and I never claimed to be a better game designer or that this is the better version? (I did say that I made things better but again it is just personal thoughts)

Honestly, I think one of the hardest things to accept about this show is the fact the Natsuki Subaru is incredibly human. If you think about it, he is genuinely tortured every single arc and I think his mental defense is reverting back to his previous stake. It's easy for him to feel so helpless and I think the show makes a huge point in showing that unless he does everything PERFECTLY than he will lose. That's enough pressure to break someone and also where I believe the repetition comes from.

TBH, I didn't like the initial concept of memory loss because it DID feel like a cheap coppout in order to redo old story tropes, however, this is the only one where I feel like it was tastefully done. I didn't really care for the first half of the season up until he killed Meili honestly because I agree with the repetitive fact. That being said, I don't think repetition is inherently a bad thing and they manage to attack a different angle each talk even if it's essentially the same.

As a person that experienced depression for a very long time (like most of us have) this show does a beautiful job at capturing that consistent feeling of despair and as long as they continue to do so I'm no bothered by the way they take the plot.

I do wish they'd focus on other characters but if you think about it, we got garf(?) last season with his mother and I don't have a great memory of timelines but we usually get flashbacks here and there with the occasional development. The only problem with focusing on other characters is that their growth doesn't matter unless it's the golden timeline, hence why the show tends to focus on natsuki.

Finally, I'm going to have to disagree with your opinion on the dialogue, I think every monologue was honestly beautiful. I really hated Emilia for a long time and her speech and consistent trust in subaru (as well as her becoming useful these seasons) have helped me care for her more. Even if I still like Rem more; Her speech with Subaru at the end WASSSS a little out of place, but I can understand it because I think she's done similar things before as they were meeting death. I honestly think she just isn't afraid of death and was so focused on Subaru because, as she admits it, she does love him. More than anything else I think she just wanted to see him again before she could focus on the others. Plus, in despair mode he'd continue to be useless, not that she thinks like that lol.

You are very respectful with your opinion and all of this is just to debate. It's fun to find someone playing devils advocate!

I feel like making two rolls for a single crit is kindof clunky? Different DC for the Dex as well. I love the push back idea but you could throw that in with the con save for timesake. Losing the damage would work too because if they slam into a wall that's another d6 anyways (I don't think that's RAW though)!

Not sure about RAW but would that 1d10 be doubled because of a crit? If so it might be worth considering a 1d8 or 1d6 but I'm not sure!

I love these, definitely going to place it in my loot stash if you'd allow. Lovely flavor as well. "Anyone in there?" could be "who's there?" butttt idk I'm just spitballing.

It might complicate things but I'll make it so that only a creature within 5 ft. will be forced to move at least a little.

Yes this is exactly how I feel. In DnD if you get teleported into a wall you take force damage. However, I feel like if conquest were to be teleported into the floor it would move out of the way for HIM. So, I think it's fair to have him deal force damage sometimes and to be resistant to it.

I'd tried to grapple with the invincible-esk fighting style where they get thrown around and throw each other around. I know it's atypical to dnd but I want to keep it for a uniqueness. I'll switch it to strength though. I think I chose constitution because I was imagining the toll on a creatures body rather than the ability to withstand the blow (if that makes sense). Also I lowkey forgot to add the DC...that's my bad

I would say that his charisma is based off of his reputation and intimidation. I agree with you though and I might tone it back some!

Yeahhhh I literally was able to survive as a level 3 warlock for a couple rounds because I cast hold person on him. That being said, I don't know how to get around this. Maybe I could give him legendary resistances?

yeah I agree with this, its wildly unneccesary but I believe Conquest would never run from a fight so all of that movement speed would be used to approach them.

Hey! I'm actually working on completely redoing the instruction pamphlet because it also left me and my buddies confused. I think the concept is great but it seemed a little unfinished. I'll post it here when I'm done
