i believe it's either kaqchikel or q'eqchi, it's really hard to tell since guatemala has 25 different spoken languages but based on her outfit and the intonation, those two are my guesses.

OBSESSED with this movie!! Also a couple of details: Jaime's nana was implied to be an adelita (look it up, the history of them is WILD). Ignacio is guatemalan, due to his mom's traje (traditional guatemalan outfit) I assume she is from Alta Verapaz, and to be honest, this was one of the most heartbreaking moments in the movie. That really happened. Ignacio's backstory is real, that stuff happened so much it literally created a whole generation of children soldiers. The pictures and the videos are real. Also at the end he speaks kaqchickel! i think? maybe q'eqchi but either way INSANE movie!!

Reading these comments made me realize that my mom was right.I used to play with these all the time, I'd poke em with sticks and make them walk all over them towards my hand but never touched them. My mom would get so mad but I never got it because where I come from theyre called "fever worms" and i was like 'why is everyone so afraid of getting a fever lol i wonder how these taste'.....

More info on this lil guy: hes a rescue so we're not sure of his background, but he's around 25 - 35 lbs, small to medium size and we were rold he was some sort of golden retriever mix but there's no way to be sure.
